As mentioned above, when all dharmas are realized as being like illusions in the order described, then the notion of arising and ceasing, etc., does not arise in relation to conditioned and unconditioned dharmas. Why is that? It is because, like this, the individual names of all dharmas are illusions. Those discriminations are spoken of as terms because they are completely discriminated from names that arise immediately and are not true. This shows the reasoning of not truly seeing accordingly. The discriminations of the individual names and characteristics of dharmas are not truly existent. It is only that childish individual beings suddenly impute them as names and terms. It is not truly existent in the ultimate sense. Shariputra, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita, he understands in this way: "This name 'Bodhisattva' is just a name," etc. This is taught in order to clarify the meaning mentioned above. Shariputra, for example, the term 'I, I' is spoken in name, but if one thoroughly examines it as it is in reality, there is no object of focus, etc. These are the various ways in which non-Buddhists discriminate the self. The example of those who understand non-self in the individual of the Hearers shows that Bodhisattva, Bodhi, Buddha, and Prajnaparamita are not seen accordingly in the ultimate sense. Likewise, other phenomena such as form and feeling should be applied accordingly. Thus, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva who practices the Prajnaparamita, except for the wisdom of the Tathagata, overcomes all the wisdom of the Hearers and Pratyekabuddhas by holding the emptiness without object of focus between the wisdom that is not that. Thus, understanding emptiness in this way, if one practices the Prajnaparamita through the gate of no object of focus, it shows the benefit of obtaining special wisdom. The wisdom of worldly people, Hearers, and Pratyekabuddhas is focused on the view of reality.

Therefore, that Bodhisattva overwhelms everything by realizing the nature and characteristics of wisdom to be without essence. Sharadvatiputra, if this Jambudvipa were filled entirely with monks like Sharadvatiputra and Maudgalyayana, etc., this clearly shows the extraordinary superiority of the Bodhisattva's wisdom. Among the noble Shravakas, there is no one with sharper wisdom than Shariputra and Maudgalyayana. If this Jambudvipa were filled with such beings, like a reed forest, the sum of all their wisdom would not compare to even a fraction of the wisdom of a Bodhisattva practicing Prajnaparamita, and it cannot be measured by similes or analogies. Why is that? Sharadvatiputra, it is because the wisdom of Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas exists for the purpose of completely liberating all sentient beings from suffering. The wisdom of Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas is not like that. This shows the reason why wisdom becomes particularly superior. Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas focus on their own benefit, while Bodhisattvas focus on the benefit of sentient beings, hence the difference. Furthermore, Sharadvatiputra, the wisdom cultivated by a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practicing Prajnaparamita in just one day overwhelms and surpasses the wisdom of all Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, etc. This shows that wisdom is even more superior. Similarly, it should be applied to all directions, such as the east. Sharadvatiputra asked, etc., Shariputra abides in the ultimate truth, and in response to his question, the Bhagavan, in the manner of conventional truth, explained the vast aspiration of the Bodhisattva. To show its superiority, Sharadvatiputra, what do you think, etc., although there is no difference in the ultimate truth, in the conventional truth, due to the power of past aspirations, a vast aspiration has arisen, hence there is a difference. So, what is the vast aspiration? It is that I will use the knowledge of the path to benefit all sentient beings and with the Dharma
