Etcetera. The teachings of the Pratyekabuddhas involve entering through the understanding of dependent origination, and so forth. The teachings of Bodhisattvas and the teachings of Buddhas refer to the practices of Bodhisattvas from the stage of adhimukticaryābhūmi (stage of aspirational conduct) up to the ten bhūmis. The teachings of Buddhas are their result, belonging to the realm of the Buddhas, the five wisdoms, the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, and so forth. "Desiring to reach the other shore of all dharmas" means that all the dharmas mentioned earlier are summarized and taught. In short, one should truly understand the nature of all the dharmas mentioned, in both conventional and ultimate truth, and desiring to reach the ultimate, one should train in the Prajñāpāramitā. This should be applied to everything. "Desiring to comprehend the suchness of all past, future, and all that has occurred" and so forth, indicates that the Bodhisattvas of the ten bhūmis should train in the Prajñāpāramitā in order to attain the merit of realizing the ultimate nature of the dharmas mentioned above. The nature of ultimate truth is suchness, non-arising, and the true limit. This is the concluding statement of wanting to reach the ultimate of these. "Desiring to go before all Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas" means that the Bodhisattvas abiding on the ten bhūmis surpass all Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas with wisdom, power, miracles, and so forth, becoming the most important, the most sacred, and the most excellent, which is called going before. Desiring to obtain such qualities, one should train in the Prajñāpāramitā, which is the meaning. "Desiring to serve and honor all Buddhas, the Bhagavat" means that the Bodhisattvas of the ten bhūmis, with the power of obtaining freedom and miracles, are able to make incomparable and inconceivable services and offerings to the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, in an instant, a moment, or a short time, possessing such power. This is the concluding statement of wanting to obtain such qualities. "Desiring to become a member of the inner circle of all Buddhas, the Bhagavat"

The term "ground" refers to the fact that the bodhisattvas of the ten grounds are only one birth away from the ground of Buddhahood, and their knowledge of all-knowing wisdom is only separated by a thin veil. Because they are close to the retinue of the Buddha, they are called the inner retinue. The phrase "desiring to obtain such qualities" is used in conjunction with "desiring." The phrase "desiring to have many retinues" means that the bodhisattvas of the ten grounds have become like the Buddhas. Indra and Brahma, and other gods with great power and great miraculous abilities, worship and honor them. The meaning is "desiring to have many such retinues." The phrase "desiring to obtain the retinue of bodhisattvas" means that the bodhisattvas of the ten grounds are surrounded by the bodhisattvas of the lower grounds as their retinue and are honored. The phrase "desiring to obtain such qualities" is the conclusion. The phrase "desiring to purify all the offerings of all patrons" means that the bodhisattvas of the ten grounds have perfected all qualities and have therefore become fields of merit. The phrase "desiring to have a mind unhindered in giving" means that the bodhisattvas of the ten grounds have no opposing factors to the perfection of generosity and other perfections. The meaning is "desiring to obtain such qualities." The phrase "desiring to establish all sentient beings in the objects of merit arising from generosity," and so on, means that the bodhisattvas of the ten grounds teach the Dharma and apply it for the benefit of sentient beings without any hindrance, because as it is applied, it is accomplished, and therefore it does not become meaningless. Establishing sentient beings in the five objects of merit does not become meaningless. The meaning is "desiring to obtain such qualities." The phrase "desiring to completely accomplish the five eyes in all ways," and so on, means that the eye of the form body of the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, is the eye of flesh. The wisdom of all samadhi, equipoise, and clairvoyance is the divine eye. The wisdom of all-knowing is the eye of wisdom. Universally going
