Whoever it may be, they will share this merit with all sentient beings and dedicate it to unsurpassed perfect enlightenment in a non-objective manner, starting from here. Kausika, whether it be a son or daughter of good family, whoever upholds, explains, reads, masters this Prajnaparamita, properly contemplates it, and whose mind is inseparable from the mind of omniscience, those individuals will obtain these qualities in this life and future lives. Up to this point, it speaks of the Bodhisattva who practices this Prajnaparamita, fully practicing the six perfections, and sharing its merit with all sentient beings, dedicating it to unsurpassed perfect enlightenment in a non-objective manner, and knowing the faults that will arise if the six perfections are not fully accomplished, and the benefits of generating such mindfulness that will be obtained in this life and future lives. Indra requested: "Bhagavan, this Prajnaparamita is so wonderful in that it so well subdues the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, and abides for the sake of not generating pride." This is because Indra knows the benefits that the Bodhisattva who practices this Prajnaparamita will obtain in this life and future lives, and even if such qualities are obtained, they will not become arrogant and proud due to these qualities. In order to explain in detail the meaning of not generating pride, in order to initiate the topic, therefore he requested: "Bhagavan, this Prajnaparamita is so wonderful in that it so well subdues the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, and abides for the sake of not generating pride." The Bhagavan said: "Kausika, how does this Prajnaparamita well subdue the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, and abide for the sake of non-arrogance?" This is a question posed in order to have Indra himself explain it. Indra requested: "Bhagavan, in this Prajna-

From the section called "When a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva Practices the Worldly Perfection of Giving," up to the point "Bhagavan, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, thus engaging in worldly dharmas, becomes arrogant due to attachment to a great self. Therefore, the Perfection of Wisdom completely subdues him, and he abides for the sake of being without arrogance," it refers to the practice of the six perfections and other dharmas up to the state of omniscience, with the three spheres (agent, object, and action) not being completely pure. This leads to being unsubdued and arrogant. If one understands the profound meaning of the Perfection of Wisdom, then practicing with the three spheres completely pure will subdue and eliminate arrogance. This is how it is taught. Bhagavan, from the section called "When a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva Practices the Transcendent Perfection of Giving," up to the point "Although he cultivates omniscience, there is no object of focus because of the extreme cultivation of the Perfection of Wisdom. Bhagavan, thus the Perfection of Wisdom completely subdues the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, and he abides for the sake of being without arrogance," it refers to the antidote to practicing worldly perfections and other things with characteristics and with the three spheres not completely pure. Practicing the six perfections and other things with the three spheres completely pure, and practicing with characteristics, will subdue and eliminate arrogance. This is how it is taught. The Eighteenth Chapter of the Extensive Explanation of the Hundred Thousand Perfection of Wisdom. The Nineteenth Chapter: The Chapter on Honoring Stupas. Then, the Bhagavan spoke to Indra, the Lord of the Gods, saying: " कौशिका (kauśika, कौशिका, Kausika)! Any son or daughter of good family who holds and recites this profound Perfection of Wisdom," up to the point " कौशिका (kauśika, कौशिका, Kausika)! Therefore, when that son or daughter of good family goes to battle, their body will not be struck or pierced by swords or arrows," it refers to holding and reciting this Perfection of Wisdom, and so on.
