That is the meaning. The statement "even more subtle than the subtle" refers to the meaning of the Prajñāpāramitā, which is difficult to fathom for the subtle, becoming the object of non-conceptual wisdom. It is shown that each, in their own way of self-realization, my wisdom merges into it. Then, the venerable Subhūti, fully knowing the mental discriminations of those gods, spoke to those gods as follows: Gods, form is not profound, not subtle, and so on. As mentioned above, the gods thought: This noble Subhūti is teaching something very profound, merging into something very subtle. Although they thought this way in their hearts, they did not say it out loud, but Subhūti knew it in his mind and showed that profundity and subtlety themselves are also unreal and inexpressible in the ultimate sense. If there is something called profound and subtle, then is it worldly phenomena such as form, or transcendental phenomena such as the six perfections? All phenomena from the skandha of form to omniscience are empty of inherent existence. Whatever is empty of inherent existence is neither profound nor subtle, this is what is to be shown. Then, those gods thought to themselves: In this Dharma teaching, there is no designation of form, etc., just as the Prajñāpāramitā is not taught by anyone in the ultimate sense, using examples such as illusion, etc., no one has heard it, and no one has known it. Furthermore, after hearing the statement that all phenomena such as form are neither profound nor subtle, the gods abiding in the assembly, Since all phenomena are beyond speech and thought and cannot be expressed, then in this Dharma teaching of Prajñāpāramitā, from form, etc., up to the Buddhas, Bodhi, and letters, is there no designation either? It shows what they were thinking. Then, the venerable Subhūti said to those gods: Gods, it is just so, it is just so. The Tathāgata's Bodhi is inexpressible, without sound, not taught by anyone, and not heard by anyone.

Repetition: The so-called "no one knows" refers to the unsurpassed Bodhi realized by the Tathagata, the true meaning of which is not the nature of any Dharma, so it cannot be expressed or indicated by words and letters, etc. Nor can anyone hear and understand it through words and letters, etc. Because all Dharmas such as form, etc., are non-dual with the nature of Bodhi in the ultimate truth, so there is no establishment of names such as form, etc., this is what is to be explained. Sons of the gods, therefore, if someone wishes to abide in the fruit of stream-entry and wishes to realize the fruit of stream-entry, they should not rely on this forbearance. Such things as these refer to those who wish to obtain the four fruits such as the fruit of stream-entry, as well as self-Bodhi and unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, because all Dharmas such as form, etc., are unborn in the ultimate truth, so they should not rely on this forbearance that transcends speech and thought and establishes names, otherwise they will not be able to obtain the fruits of the three vehicles. If one relies on this forbearance of realizing profound Dharma, one will surely be able to obtain the fruits of the three vehicles, this is what is to be explained. Sons of the gods, thus, from the moment a Bodhisattva Mahasattva generates the first thought, because it cannot be spoken or heard, one should abide in the Prajnaparamita. This is to say that, as mentioned above, in this way, understanding that all Dharmas transcend speech and thought, are far from words and letters, and do not abide in any characteristics, is abiding in the Prajnaparamita. From the moment of generating the first thought, one should abide in the Prajnaparamita in this way, this is what is to be explained. The Extensive Explanation of the Hundred Thousand Verses of Prajnaparamita, Chapter Fifteen is complete. Chapter Sixteen, The Difficult to Understand Chapter. After this, the sons of the gods thought in their hearts: How should we seek out those who listen to the Dharma from the Venerable Subhuti? This is to say that, from the moment of generating the first thought, because it cannot be spoken or heard, one should abide in the Prajnaparamita. As Subhuti said earlier, after the sons of the gods heard it, they thought that all Dharmas are unspeakable. Explaining the Dharma and listening to the Dharma

Since there is not even 'is,' there can be no Dharma teaching. Then, what kind of Dharma teaching would the venerable Subhuti have? (The gods) arose with such doubts. Then, the venerable Subhuti, with his mind, fully understood the thoughts of those gods, and said to those gods: Gods, the Dharma I teach is like an illusion. Gods, listening to my Dharma should also be sought as if seeking an illusion. That is to say, the speaker, the listener, and the Dharma to be spoken are all merely expressions of conventional truth. From the perspective of ultimate truth, all of them are without substance. From the absence of substance, things appear as if they exist, and it should be understood that this is like an illusion. This shows that, gods, the Dharma I teach is like a manifestation, and listening to my Dharma should also be sought as if seeking a manifestation, because they have not heard anything, nor have they attained anything. That is to say, the speaker, the listener, and the Dharma to be spoken, all three, from the perspective of ultimate truth, are not truly existent. Here, the example is taken from manifestation to explain. They have not heard anything, which shows that through the wisdom of hearing, nothing has been heard. No attainment, which shows that through the wisdom of cultivation, no fruit has been manifestly attained. Then, those gods said to the venerable Subhuti: Venerable Subhuti, are those sentient beings like illusions, and are those who listen to the Dharma also like illusions? Are those sentient beings like manifestations, and are those who listen to the Dharma also like manifestations? That is to say, in order to distinguish the occasions for explaining that all dharmas are like illusions, like manifestations, like dreams, the gods asked Subhuti: Are those sentient beings who listen to the Dharma, and those dharmas to be spoken, also like illusions and like manifestations? Subhuti replied: Gods, it is so, it is so. Those sentient beings are like illusions, and those who listen to the Dharma are also like illusions. Those sentient beings are like manifestations, and those who listen to the Dharma are also like manifestations. That is to say, it is consistent with the content of the questions previously asked by the gods.
