Because 'being' is imputed from what is not truly existent, because it is of the nature of changing and unstable dharmas. The statement 'form should be regarded as harmful' means that it is shown that it should be regarded as harmful because it is the cause of discomfort for body and mind and the arising of various harms. From 'having generated the mind endowed with all-aspects-knowingness, in the way of non-apprehension, feeling should be regarded as impermanent' to 'old age and death should be regarded as harmful,' the meaning of impermanence and so forth should be applied in the same way. Those show the Perfection of Wisdom belonging to the aspect of all-knowingness by way of the vehicle of Hearers and Solitary Buddhas. Kausika! Furthermore, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, having generated the mind endowed with all-aspects-knowingness, engages in the Perfection of Giving in the way of non-apprehension, and so forth, shows the Perfection of Wisdom belonging to the aspect of knowing the aspects of the path, which is the conduct of Bodhisattvas. From 'having generated the mind endowed with all-aspects-knowingness, engages in the Perfection of Giving in the way of non-apprehension' to 'engages in the Perfection of Wisdom,' it means that in the conventional, with the mind of 'may I and all sentient beings attain all-aspects-knowingness,' one engages in the six perfections, and in the ultimate, one also engages in the way of non-apprehension, which shows that it is the Perfection of Wisdom belonging to the aspect of knowing the aspects of the path. Kausika! Furthermore, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, having generated the mind endowed with all-aspects-knowingness, meditates on the four mindfulnesses in the way of non-apprehension, and so forth, to meditating on the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha, it means that when meditating on the pure dharmas such as the four mindfulnesses, in the conventional, with the mind of dedicating 'may I and all sentient beings attain all-aspects-knowingness,' one meditates with the mind of generating, and in the ultimate, one also meditates in the way of non-apprehension.

Thus, this shows that it belongs to the aspect of knowing the path, the Perfection of Wisdom. Kauśika! Furthermore, when a Bodhisattva Mahāsattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, like "Thus, each correctly learns," etc., this shows correctly understanding and learning the nature of selflessness of phenomena and persons, which belongs to the aspect of knowing the path, the Perfection of Wisdom. Thus, phenomena manifestly moisten, completely moisten, completely perfect, completely increase, and completely analyze, these are merely phenomena. There is no self or belonging to self in them, this shows the Perfection of Wisdom explained through analyzing the selflessness of persons. After a Bodhisattva generates the mind of enlightenment, by the power of love and compassion, transforming the mind-streams of sentient beings tormented by desire, hatred, and delusion into the nature of love and compassion, etc., making them tame and peaceful minds, this is merely the nature of the mind of enlightenment, roots of virtue, and complete dedication, and there is nothing like the agent self, etc., conceived by non-Buddhists, this has been shown. The so-called "phenomena manifestly moisten" means that the mind-streams of sentient beings tormented and filled with desire, etc., are manifestly moistened and tamed by love and compassion, etc., through the mind of enlightenment, roots of virtue, and complete dedication, and first, the thought of entering into the four ways of gathering, such as giving, arises. The so-called "completely moisten" means that after generating such a thought, actually starting to perform actions such as giving. The so-called "completely perfect" means making those actions such as giving pure in the three spheres and reaching the ultimate. The so-called "completely increase" means completely dedicating and spreading oneself and all sentient beings to the attainment of unsurpassed enlightenment through the mind of complete dedication. The so-called "completely analyze" means thus.

As before or after performing generosity and other actions, one examines with wisdom the act of giving, the object of giving, and the recipients, without clinging to them as real. These are merely dharmas, and there is no self or belonging to self in them. Thus, manifesting and nourishing such actions are solely performed by dharmas such as bodhicitta, and not by any agent such as self. This concludes and demonstrates the meaning of the absence of self in persons. Why is that? Because the rejoicing mind of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva is not associated with bodhicitta. And bodhicitta is not associated with the rejoicing mind. This demonstrates the Prajnaparamita that realizes the absence of self in phenomena. The bodhicitta and the rejoicing mind of the Bodhisattva, which nourishes the mind-streams of sentient beings with the roots of virtue, etc., both bodhicitta and the rejoicing mind lack ultimate reality, and therefore do not abide in each other, nor do they meet or accompany each other. Kauśika (Sanskrit Devanagari, kauśika, Sanskrit Romanization, Kauśika, Literal Chinese meaning: Kauśika), the rejoicing mind is not in bodhicitta, nor is it visible. Bodhicitta is not in the rejoicing mind, nor is it visible. This demonstrates the reason why bodhicitta and the rejoicing mind do not meet or accompany each other. Because in ultimate truth, neither of them has substance, nor are they visible, therefore there is no reliance or companionship between them. Kauśika (Sanskrit Devanagari, kauśika, Sanskrit Romanization, Kauśika, Literal Chinese meaning: Kauśika), thus, thoroughly discriminating all dharmas, yet not clinging to any dharma, this is the Prajnaparamita of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. This demonstrates that while one realizes the absence of self in persons and phenomena in conventional truth, one does not cling to characteristics or develop attachment to any dharma in ultimate truth, and that is Prajnaparamita. After saying this, the Lord of the Gods, Indra, spoke these words to the Venerable Subhuti.
