Generating understanding towards these dharmas, and even when generating understanding in this way, not generating a difficult understanding, this is because, from the ultimate perspective, realizing that all dharmas are without an object of focus, thereby showing the method of not generating a difficult understanding. Just as the "self" that is fixated upon by non-Buddhists, when realizing the absence of self in a person, all those fixations on "self" are completely and utterly non-existent. Similarly, when realizing the absence of self in dharmas, one should also know that the aggregates, elements, and sources, etc., the inner and outer dharmas, are also completely non-existent and unattainable, and thus a difficult understanding will not arise, this is what is to be shown. Why is that? Because in this way, one does not cling to any dharma, nor does one have any object of focus. This is the reason for showing the non-arising of a difficult understanding. From the ultimate perspective, for any dharma that would cause a difficult understanding to arise, one does not cling to its characteristics, nor does one have any object of focus. The venerable son of Sharadvati said, "I do not believe that the Tathagata exists in the unborn, nor do I believe that the unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment exists." This is because, from the ultimate perspective, all dharmas are unborn, and the Tathagata and the unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment are also of an unborn nature, therefore one does not believe in the existence of inherent existence. When the Tathagata turns the wheel of Dharma, there is nothing to be obtained or should be obtained by the unborn Dharma, this is because if we connect the words of the Bhagavan that all dharmas are unborn from the beginning, then from the ultimate perspective, obtaining the fruit of stream-enterer etc. by the unborn Dharma is also unborn, and those fruits to be obtained are also unborn, therefore there is nothing to be obtained or should be obtained, this is what is to be shown. It is said, "Venerable Subhuti, do you think that one can obtain with born dharmas, and should obtain?" This is Shariputra asking Subhuti whether he thinks that stream-enterers and other individuals can obtain the nature of non-inherent existence such as the fruit of stream-entry with inherent existence.

Someone asked if they wanted to obtain existing things such as the fruit of stream-entry through non-existent things. Because he thought it was unreasonable to obtain non-existent things through existing things, and to obtain existing things through non-existent things, he attached importance to it and asked. Subhuti replied: Venerable Sharadvatiputra, I do not think so. I also do not agree to obtain through the unborn Dharma. This means that because it is unreasonable to obtain non-existent things through existing things, and to obtain existing things through non-existent things, he replied in this way. Asked: Venerable Subhuti, then there is no attainment, no realization? This means that if you do not accept these two ways, then do stream-enterers and other individuals obtain the fruit of stream-entry, etc., and also cultivate the path and realize it? Subhuti replied: Venerable Sharadvatiputra, there is attainment and there is realization, but not through those two ways. This means that attainment and realization are only established in the conventional truth as merely abandoning afflictions and cognitive obscurations. It is believed that it is not through the two ways of obtaining non-existent things through existing things, and obtaining existing things through non-existent things. In order to clearly explain this meaning, Venerable Sharadvatiputra, attainment and realization are only established by worldly terms, etc. This means that those who can attain, such as stream-enterers, and those who are to be attained, such as the fruit of stream-entry, are only imputed in the conventional truth, and do not exist in the ultimate truth. Asked: Venerable Subhuti, attainment and what is to be realized exist in the conventional truth, so are the five realms also like this, being different in the conventional truth, but not so in the ultimate truth? This is to explain in detail the debate mentioned above that the five realms will also become undifferentiated, and to raise the question. Just like attainment and realization exist in the conventional truth, but in the ultimate truth
