This is to show the reason explained because all the dharmas were not truly seen before. In the ultimate sense, form is unborn, and because it is unborn, form has no self-nature, so it is shown that it is not truly seen. Thus, form and the unborn are not two, and cannot be separated, which means that form and the unborn are one taste in reality because they are without substance, so they cannot be distinguished. Why is that? Blessed One, like this, the unborn is not one, not two, not many, not different. The unborn is called without substance in the ultimate sense. For the insubstantial, there is no counting or distinction. Why is that? What is the unborn of form is not form, which means that the unborn has no nature of form, so the meaning is concluded and shown. Similarly, from feeling to omniscience, all worldly and transcendental dharmas should also be compared in this way. Blessed One, what is the decay of form is not form, etc., which means that all dharmas such as form are not substantial in the ultimate sense, but the inverted clinging to existence is called decay because it will change and decay later. Thus, the form contemplated from the unreal, which has the nature of decay, is not the real form in the ultimate sense. Thus, form and decay are not two, and cannot be separated, which means that in the ultimate sense, the two are one taste in emptiness, so they cannot be distinguished. Why is that? Blessed One, like this, decay is not one, not two, etc., this is to explain the reason for non-duality. From the insubstantiality of form, the inverted clinging to existence, the nature of constant decay, is not substantial in the ultimate sense, so it cannot be distinguished in one and many, etc. Similarly, in feelings, etc.

Until the attainment of omniscience, all worldly and transworldly phenomena should be connected. World-Honored One, whatever is called form is counted as a dharma that is non-dual and undiminished. And so on, from the aggregates of form to omniscience, all phenomena, worldly and transworldly, that are named, are conventionally taught and spoken of as form, feeling, and so on. But in the ultimate sense, all of these have the same essence of non-substantiality, and because they do not degenerate from suchness, they are counted as dharmas that are non-dual and undiminished. World-Honored One, this is what Subhuti requested of the World-Honored One. The term "counted as" means belonging to the nature of non-duality or belonging to the category of non-duality. This concludes the thirteenth chapter of the Extensive Explanation of the One Hundred Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita. Chapter Fourteen: Subhuti Then, the venerable Sharadvatiputra said to the venerable Subhuti, "Venerable Subhuti, how does a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, when practicing the Prajnaparamita, fully understand these dharmas? Venerable Subhuti, what is a Bodhisattva? What is Prajnaparamita? What is complete understanding?" These questions were previously asked by Subhuti to the World-Honored One: "World-Honored One, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita, how does he fully understand those dharmas? At that time, regarding what is called form, he does not focus on form, does not grasp it, does not abide in it, and does not manifest attachment, does not bind himself." And so on, in order to distinguish the occasion for explaining in detail the result of non-discrimination, Shariputra asked Subhuti about what a Bodhisattva is, what Prajnaparamita is, and what complete understanding is, these three aspects. After saying this, the venerable Subhuti said to the venerable Sharadvatiputra

Thus spoke, etc., is the answer of Subhuti. What is a Bodhisattva, etc., is explained in detail. The venerable Saradvatiputra said, "What is a Bodhisattva?" It is said that because sentient beings achieve Bodhi, they are called Bodhisattvas. This is to say that all sentient beings are the nature of the Dharmakaya's Bodhi, so they are called Bodhisattvas. Bodhi also knows the characteristics of all dharmas, and there is no manifest attachment to these dharmas. This is to say that the mind with such a Bodhi nature knows the characteristics of all worldly and transcendental dharmas in the conventional sense, and realizes that all these dharmas are emptiness in the ultimate sense. Therefore, it is a Bodhisattva who has no manifest attachment to these dharmas. What dharma's characteristics are known? Knowing the characteristics of form, and not manifesting attachment to it, etc., this is to say that from form, etc., all the way to the eighteen unshared Buddha dharmas, the characteristics of any worldly and transcendental dharmas are known, and there is no manifest attachment to them. Said: Venerable Subhuti, what is the characteristic of all dharmas? This is because the characteristics of all dharmas were mentioned above, and there is no manifest attachment to it. In order to separately explain what the characteristics of all dharmas are, Sariputra asked Subhuti. Subhuti said: Venerable Saradvatiputra, by what characteristics, what ways, and what features do dharmas have characteristics? etc., is to say by what characteristics, ways, and features do conditioned and unconditioned dharmas, this is form, this is sound, this is smell, this is taste, this is touch, this is dharma, such as all internal and external dharmas, in the conventional sense, the respective characteristics of the dharmas are known without error, thereby knowing the characteristics of the dharmas. Venerable Saradvatiputra, whatever is said like, what is Prajnaparamita, etc., this is to say what is Prajnaparamita
