This concludes and demonstrates the meaning of "non-manifestation." Venerable Sharadvatiputra, whoever says, "Why is it that the non-manifest Prajnaparamita is taught and subsequently instructed?" etc., as Subhuti previously said, "How should a Bodhisattva who is non-manifest teach and subsequently instruct the non-manifest Prajnaparamita?" To this, Sariputra asked Subhuti, "Why do you say that?" Subhuti said to Sariputra, "Venerable Sharadvatiputra, thus, whatever is non-manifest is Prajnaparamita. Whatever is Prajnaparamita is non-manifest. Thus, these two dharmas, non-manifestation and Prajnaparamita, are non-dual and indivisible." This means that neither the Bodhisattva who teaches and subsequently instructs, nor the Prajnaparamita, are truly existent in ultimate reality, because in non-manifestation, the nature is the same, so they cannot be distinguished. Venerable Sharadvatiputra, if the terms are determined, saying, "How should the non-manifest Prajnaparamita be taught and subsequently instructed?" This is in the manner previously stated, both the Bodhisattva and the Prajnaparamita are non-manifest in ultimate reality, and in emptiness they are of the same taste and cannot be distinguished, so how should they be taught and subsequently instructed? This concludes and demonstrates the meaning. Venerable Sharadvatiputra, whoever says, "Why is it that apart from non-manifestation, no Bodhisattva who practices towards enlightenment can be seen?" etc., as before, Sariputra asked Subhuti, "Why do you say that apart from non-manifestation, no Bodhisattva who practices towards enlightenment can be seen?" Subhuti repeated this statement and explained its meaning in detail.

, in reality, there is no manifestation of accomplishment, and the term "Bodhisattva" is not different, showing that it is of one taste in emptiness. How are manifestation of accomplishment and Bodhisattva two, in reality, of one taste in emptiness, without difference? Just as these two are inseparable, so too should the five aggregates, such as form, up to the all-knowingness, be combined. The venerable Sharadvatiputra, whoever says this, when thus teaching, if the Bodhisattva Mahasattva is not afraid, not alarmed, not terrified, then the Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita, thus he speaks, thus he says, etc., as above. Shariputra asked Subhuti: Why do you do this? When explaining the profound meaning of Prajnaparamita, if one is not afraid, not alarmed, not terrified, then one practices Prajnaparamita, thus he speaks. Subhuti repeated the question and explained its meaning in detail: Venerable Sharadvatiputra, thus the Bodhisattva Mahasattva truly sees that all dharmas are without a maker, and truly sees that all dharmas are like dreams, thus and so on, that is, in reality, he understands that all dharmas have no cause for arising and ceasing, and truly sees them as like dreams, illusions, mirages, reflections, cataracts, and apparitions, therefore, having heard the profound dharma of no arising and ceasing, he is not afraid or terrified, thus it is taught. Then, the venerable Subhuti asked the Blessed One: Blessed One, when does the Bodhisattva Mahasattva practice the Prajnaparamita? When completely distinguishing those dharmas, this is form, thus he does not cling to, grasp, or abide in form, nor does he manifest attachment, nor does he bind, thus and so on, as above, understanding that all dharmas are without difference, and the result of being of one taste in emptiness is that he does not cling to all dharmas such as form.

The teachings are: When one fully understands these dharmas in this way, it means that when one fully understands that the aforementioned worldly and transcendental dharmas are of one taste in emptiness. This is called form, and not focusing on form means not grasping at characteristics with consciousness. Not taking means not thinking of things with the mind. Not abiding means not abiding in it after realizing emptiness with wisdom. Not being manifestly attached means not being manifestly attached with views. Not binding means not naming or praising with words, nor showing it to others. Similarly, worldly dharmas such as feeling, and the eighteen unmixed Buddha dharmas, should be proclaimed as such. World Honored One, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita, this is called the door of Samadhi and Dharani, and does not focus on all the doors of Samadhi and Dharani, does not take, does not abide, does not manifestly cling, and does not bind, which means that for the letters A and so on, which are the doors of Samadhi and Dharani, one does not grasp at characteristics or manifestly cling, which is shown. Why is that? In this way, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita, not truly seeing form, etc., in the order mentioned above, the reason for not grasping at characteristics and not being manifestly attached to all worldly and transcendental dharmas is shown, that is, all aspects of form, etc., up to all-knowingness, because those dharmas are not truly existent in ultimate reality, so it is shown that one does not truly see them as things, so one does not grasp at characteristics or manifestly cling to them. World Honored One, why is that? It is like this, that which is the unproduced of form is not form, thus form and the unproduced are not two, there is no making of two, and so on.
