Because of becoming like that. Those Bodhisattvas went to the presence of the Bhagavan Shakyamuni Buddha. On the eastern side, beyond the number of sands of the Ganges River, it is called "the other shore of all," because the world is boundless, so the edge of the other shore cannot be seen. However, the last of the Bodhisattvas who went from this world to there is called "the other shore of all." After saying "the other shore of all," it can be assumed that all the Bodhisattvas residing in the world up to there have gone. Abiding, living, and protecting, abiding because one has not completely escaped suffering and abides in the continuation of the life force. Living because the body has no disease. Protecting because there is no sudden illness, and like the power of the body, there will be no obstacles to life. Another explanation is that the Dharmakaya is the nature of existence, and abiding in the nature of the Dharmakaya is called abiding. The Sambhogakaya is for the completely pure Bodhisattvas, living by the enjoyment of Dharma and wealth, so abiding in the form of the Sambhogakaya is called living. The Nirmanakaya is for protecting sentient beings who are not completely pure, so abiding in the form of the Nirmanakaya is called protecting. Those Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, most of whom have become youths, is because among the attendants of the Bhagavan Shakyamuni Buddha, some Bodhisattvas, because of their small innate desires, have resided in pure conduct from the moment they generated their first mind, and have perfected the ten bhumis. Some Bodhisattvas, because they have obtained the position of residing above the eighth Bodhisattva bhumi, are free from effort and all discriminations, because they are suitable to be enthroned as the Dharma King of the Buddha Bhagavan, just as a young prince of a king is suitable to be enthroned, they abide in the position of the Dharma King, so they are called becoming youths. Offering lotuses born from various precious jewels and having golden light, and letters greeting about illness, is for the future...

It is because the beings of that time are without pride and jealousy. If even the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, serve and respect each other in this way, how much more should we do so? Thinking in this way, it is for the sake of generating faith. Furthermore, it is so that all the retinue of the Bhagavat Shakyamuni believe that there are also Buddhas, the Bhagavat, residing in other world realms. O son of good family, conduct yourself with mindfulness in that Buddha-field. This is because this Saha world is endowed with the five degenerations. Therefore, he advises and subsequently teaches to conduct oneself with mindfulness. These five degenerations are: the degeneration of afflictions, the degeneration of time, the degeneration of lifespan, the degeneration of views, and the degeneration of beings. Among these, the degeneration of afflictions is that in this Saha world, afflictions such as desire, hatred, and ignorance are very prevalent. Therefore, many engage in sinful actions such as the ten non-virtuous actions. As a result, many beings are born into the hells, animals, and hungry ghosts. Even if they are born as humans, many experience much suffering. These are all caused by the degeneration of afflictions. The degeneration of time is that in this Saha world, unbearable sufferings of famine occur from time to time. Unbearable sufferings of disease occur from time to time. Due to beings harming and injuring each other, fighting and striking with weapons occur frequently. Disasters of water occur from time to time. Disasters of fire occur from time to time. Disasters of wind occur from time to time. Such occurrences of many inauspicious events are called the degeneration of time. The degeneration of lifespan is that the lifespan of beings in this Saha world is uncertain. Sometimes the length of lifespan is immeasurable. Sometimes the lifespan becomes ten years. Even this is uncertain. Some die from the mother's womb. Some die immediately after birth. Some die when they reach youth. Some die when they reach adulthood. Some

They pass away from old age. Therefore, life is uncertain, and for this reason, many emotions arise, such as sorrow and lamentation, suffering and displeasure. Therefore, the lives of sentient beings are uncertain. Because it is a bad time for life, it is called the dregs of life. The dregs of views refer to the evil views of non-Buddhists, such as wrong views, which completely eradicate all virtues. These also appear in large numbers in this Saha world. Because these views prevent Bodhisattvas from entering the faultless state, they are called the dregs of views. The dregs of sentient beings refers to the fact that most of the sentient beings in this Saha world have the habit of slander, are unbelieving, disagree with the wise, are severely condemned by noble people, and have not become vessels of the holy Dharma. The minds of sentient beings are like saline land, unable to grow good crops, so it is called the dregs of sentient beings. Therefore, this Saha world is endowed with these five dregs and is full of faults. Therefore, the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, teach and instruct the Bodhisattvas who come here from other pure Buddha-fields: Be careful in the Buddha-field. Why? Because the Bodhisattvas, the great beings born in that world, are difficult to please. If they fall there, it will be terrible. This is to explain the reason for being careful in this Buddha-field. Not only does that world have such great faults, but also the Bodhisattvas born there are difficult to please because they subdue difficult-to-tame sentient beings, so they are skilled in means and have great wisdom. Therefore, they teach and instruct those Bodhisattvas not to be ashamed. Serving, respecting, caressing, and offering are ways of showing respect and reverence through the three doors of body, speech, and mind.
