Those things are empty in that way. Because there is no object of focus, it shows that it is free from the two extremes of focusing and not focusing, because it is extremely pure. If one clings to extreme purity, because of the emptiness of the interior, from "making sentient beings ripen without an object of focus" to "if one clings to extreme purity, because of the emptiness of the nature of non-things, the five eyes have no object of focus," it means that making sentient beings ripen, making the Buddha-fields completely pure, and the five eyes of the Tathagata are also without reality in the ultimate sense. If combined with extreme purity and the eighteen emptinesses, it shows that there is no object of focus. Subhuti, in that way, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas practice the Prajnaparamita, and through the way of non-focusing on all dharmas, they abide in the omniscient state through the Great Vehicle. So, through that vehicle, who will appear? The answer to Subhuti's question is summarized as showing the ground. According to the order mentioned above, the Bodhisattva who practices the Prajnaparamita arises from the three realms and abides in the omniscient state. This is what is to be shown. The extensive explanation of the Hundred Thousand Verses of Prajnaparamita is completed, Chapter Eleven. Chapter Twelve, the Chapter on Overpowering. Then, the venerable Subhuti said to the Bhagavan: "Bhagavan, the so-called Mahayana, Mahayana, is called Mahayana because it arises by overpowering the world with gods, humans, and asuras." And so on, that is, from where that vehicle will arise, etc., starting from the meaning of what was said earlier, it elaborates on the definitive term of the Mahayana and what the Dharma of the Mahayana is. Among them, because it arises by overpowering the world with gods, humans, and asuras, it is called Mahayana, which is the explanation of the definitive term of the word Mahayana. The Indian word "ယာနာ" (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) is also used for vehicle, also for arising, and also for going.

At this time, because all the worlds, including gods, humans, and asuras, are overwhelmed and appear, it is called the Great Vehicle because of its great manifestation, as it is taught. The Blessed One, that Great Vehicle is equal to the sky, and so on, is to show that the vehicle is great by the example of the sky, that is, it shows that it is great because of the great opening, and the absence of going, coming, dwelling, and the three times. Among them, just as the sky opens up space for countless sentient beings, so does this Great Vehicle open up space for countless sentient beings. Blessed One, by these names, the Great Vehicle of Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, etc., shows the great opening, that is, like the sky, all sentient beings dwell in any desired behavior, and there is no narrow space for great opening, just as in this Great Vehicle, all sentient beings enter simultaneously in one instant, and even all-knowingness is not narrow, so it is called the Great Vehicle, as it is taught. That Great Vehicle has no going or coming, nor does it have dwelling, and there is no prior limit, later limit, or middle limit, which is to teach the sutra of no going, coming, dwelling, and three times. Blessed One, for example, in the sky, there is no going or coming, nor is there dwelling, just as in this Great Vehicle, going is not visible, arising is not visible, dwelling is not visible, just as in the sky there is no going, coming, or dwelling, so in the Great Vehicle, going and coming are not visible, as it is taught. Blessed One, for example, the sky is for the sake of the equality of the three times, and so on, Blessed One, for example, this Great Vehicle is the vehicle of the equality of the three times, or for that reason, it is called the Great Vehicle, between, because there is no attachment to the three times, it is shown to be the Great Vehicle. The Blessed One taught: Subhuti, it is just so.
