The so-called "Ground of Seeing" refers to abiding in the fruit of Stream-enterer, because the individual on the supramundane path sees the Dharma of selflessness, it is called "Ground of Seeing." The so-called "Thin Ground" refers to the Once-returner having thinned the desire for the desire realm, therefore the ground of the Once-returner is called "Thin Ground." The so-called "Ground of Freedom from Desire" refers to the Non-returner having abandoned the desire for the desire realm and malice, therefore the ground of the Non-returner is called "Ground of Freedom from Desire." The so-called "Ground of Accomplished Realization" refers to the Arhat having realized, "I have done what needed to be done, there is no other existence beyond this," and so on, therefore the ground of the Arhat is called "Ground of Accomplished Realization." Among these grounds, the White Pure Vision Ground is the ground of the Bodhisattva who abides in the Ground of Adhimukti-caryā (Practice of Faith). The Lineage Ground is the common ground of the Hearers and Bodhisattvas on the Ground of Adhimukti-caryā. The Eighth Ground, the Ground of Seeing, the Thin Ground, the Ground of Freedom from Desire, and the Ground of Accomplished Realization are all grounds of the Hearers. The so-called "Ground of the Solitary Buddha" refers to not relying on the teachings of others, but realizing the profound meaning of dependent origination through one's own wisdom, abiding together with a retinue, or abiding alone like a rhinoceros horn, it is called the Ground of the Solitary Buddha. The so-called "Ground of the Bodhisattva" refers to the ten grounds of the Bodhisattva, such as the Joyful Ground. The so-called "Ground of the Buddha" refers to the All-Illuminating Ground of the Buddha. Because of the emptiness of the internal, the first ground is unattainable, and up to because of the emptiness of the nature of non-things, the tenth ground is unattainable. This is to say that each of the ten grounds, such as the White Pure Vision Ground, is combined with the eighteen emptinesses, therefore because of emptiness, these grounds are unattainable. Why is that? Subhuti, because of extreme purity, the first ground is unattainable, it is neither attainable nor unattainable, and up to because of extreme purity, the tenth ground is unattainable, it is neither attainable nor unattainable. This is to say the ten grounds
