Therefore, the so-called Mahayana, which is the Dharma without characteristics in the ultimate sense, does not arise from the three realms, nor does it abide in the all-knowingness. Thus it is taught. Subhuti, whoever desires to make the Dharmas without characteristics arise, it is simply like desiring to make the Arhat who has exhausted the outflows arise. From "The self-nature of the Tathagata is empty by the self-nature of the Tathagata" in between, the Sravaka Arhats and Pratyekabuddhas, as well as Bodhisattvas and Tathagatas, etc., in the ultimate sense, because of the emptiness of self-nature, they do not arise from the three realms, nor do they abide in the all-knowingness. Thus, the so-called Mahayana, which is the Dharma without characteristics in the ultimate sense, does not arise from the three realms, nor does it abide in the all-knowingness. Thus it is taught. Subhuti, whoever desires to make the Dharmas without characteristics arise, it is simply like desiring to make the Stream-enterer fruit arise. From "All-knowingness is empty by the self-nature of all-knowingness" in between, the Dharma to be attained by Sravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, as well as Bodhisattvas and Tathagatas, etc., the four fruits such as the Stream-enterer of Sravakas, and the fruit of Pratyekabuddhas, the Pratyekabuddha Bodhi, the fruit of Bodhisattvas, the knowledge of the aspects of the path, and the fruit of Tathagatas, the all-knowingness, etc., in the ultimate sense, because of the emptiness of self-nature, they do not arise from the three realms, nor do they abide in the all-knowingness. Thus, the so-called Mahayana, which is the Dharma without characteristics in the ultimate sense, does not arise from the three realms, nor does it abide in the all-knowingness. Thus it is taught. Subhuti, whoever desires to make the Dharmas without characteristics arise, it is simply like desiring to make the non-arising arise. From "The emptiness of designation is empty by the self-nature of the emptiness of designation" in between, names and signs, as well as symbols and terms and designations, etc., in the ultimate sense, because of the emptiness of the ground of their self-nature, they do not arise from the three realms.

, just as there is no abiding in the state of all-knowingness, so too, the Dharma called the Great Vehicle, which is without characteristics in the ultimate sense, does not arise from the three realms, and there is no abiding in the state of all-knowingness. This is what is taught. Subhuti, whoever desires the arising of the Dharmas without characteristics, that is simply desiring the arising of the unborn. Up to: 'There is no non-fabricated, because the nature of the non-fabricated is empty.' This refers to the unarisen, the unceasing, the undefiled, the unpurified, and the non-fabricated, which belong to the perfectly established characteristics. Because they are empty of their own nature in the ultimate sense, they do not arise from the three realms and do not abide in the state of all-knowingness. Likewise, the Dharma called the Great Vehicle, which is without characteristics in the ultimate sense, does not arise from the three realms, and there is no abiding in the state of all-knowingness. This is what is taught. Subhuti, in this way, with these terms, one should understand that the Great Vehicle arises from the three realms and abides in the state of all-knowingness. In this way, in the ultimate sense, because all Dharmas are empty of their own nature, no Dharma arises from the three realms and does not abide in the state of all-knowingness. Understanding this means that conventionally, it arises from the three realms and is known to abide in the state of all-knowingness. This is what is taught. That place is immovable, because if one abides in the state of all-knowingness, one cannot be moved by opposing forces. Furthermore, Subhuti, what you said, 'Where will the Great Vehicle abide?' The Great Vehicle does not abide anywhere. This and so on is the answer to Subhuti's question to the Blessed One about where the Great Vehicle will abide. In the ultimate sense, the Great Vehicle does not abide anywhere. This is what is taught. Why is that? Because all Dharmas do not abide, since no place is perceived. This means that in the ultimate sense, the Great Vehicle does not
