Such as abiding in the eighth ground, one needs to perfect these four dharmas, etc., which refers to the dharmas that a Bodhisattva abiding in the eighth ground should perfect. The so-called "understanding the minds of all sentient beings" means that with one thought, a Bodhisattva simultaneously knows the minds of all sentient beings and the dharmas arising from their minds in an instant. The so-called "playing with supernormal powers" means that relying on supernormal powers, one travels from Buddha-field to Buddha-field, wandering with supernormal powers to behold the Buddhas. The so-called "observing the Buddha-fields and accomplishing the seen Buddha-fields" means that the Bodhisattva himself abides in one Buddha-field and sees immeasurable Buddha-fields. To accomplish the seen Buddha-fields, even if he abandons the kingdom of the three-thousand-great-thousand world system, he still abides in those Buddha-fields. The so-called "serving the Buddhas and truly observing the body of the Buddha" means that for the benefit of all sentient beings, one matures the true Dharma and truly realizes the Dharmakaya. The so-called "good son, these four are the dharmas to be perfected" means that if a Bodhisattva abiding in the eighth ground perfects these four dharmas, he has truly entered the Mahayana. Good son, again, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva abiding in the eighth ground needs to perfect four dharmas, etc., which means that a Bodhisattva abiding in the eighth ground should also perfect four kinds of dharmas. The so-called "knowing the sharp and dull faculties" means that when abiding in the perfection of the ten powers of the Tathagata and maturing sentient beings, one is skilled at discerning whether sentient beings are vessels for the profound Buddha-dharma or not. The so-called "purifying the Buddha-field" means causing all sentient beings

The reason for saying "purifying the Buddha-field" is that it is the basis or cause of transformation, and can completely purify the minds of sentient beings. The so-called "to repeatedly abide in the illusion-like samadhi" means that the Bodhisattva understands all dharmas as illusion-like, does not cling to external objects, and only abides in samadhi, then he can accomplish all actions as he wishes. The so-called "in order to accomplish the roots of virtue of sentient beings, no matter what, one must deliberately think about and approach existence" means that in order to accomplish the bodies of sentient beings and increase the roots of virtue of sentient beings, the Bodhisattva deliberately thinks about and takes the bodies of gods, humans, non-gods, etc., thereby accomplishing the benefit of sentient beings. Subhuti, these four dharmas are what the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva abiding in the eighth ground should perfect, which means that the Bodhisattva abiding in the eighth ground, if he can also perfect these four dharmas, it indicates that he has truly entered the Mahayana. Subhuti, in addition, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva abiding in the ninth ground should perfect the twelve dharmas, etc., which refers to the dharmas that the Bodhisattva abiding in the ninth ground should perfect. For example, completely upholding endless vows, no matter what vows are made, they can be perfectly accomplished, which means that the Bodhisattva abiding in the ninth ground, through perfecting the six perfections, in order to perfectly accomplish the vast Bodhisattva vows for the benefit of oneself and others, no matter what vows are made, they can be fulfilled as desired. The so-called "knowing the languages of gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, non-gods, garudas, kinnaras, mahoragas, etc." means that by truly understanding the respective definitive words, one can know the languages of all sentient beings such as gods and nagas, and use their languages to preach the Dharma. The so-called "knowing the perfectly fearless definitive display" means knowing various fearlessnesses.

Being endowed with pure wisdom, I am able to subdue adversaries such as demons and heretics, and when teaching the Dharma in the retinue of great and noble royal families, I possess the courage of being fearless and unconquerable. The so-called "perfection of entering the womb" refers to the fact that a bodhisattva abiding on the ninth ground, although born into samsara for the benefit of sentient beings, is not born into the womb under the influence of afflictions, but appears in all lifetimes through miraculous birth. The so-called "perfection of lineage" refers to being born into a good lineage that is capable of practicing the sacred Dharma. The so-called "perfection of lineage" refers to being born into the lineage of great and high royal families or Brahmin families. The so-called "perfection of clan" refers to being born into the clan or lineage in which a bodhisattva has previously appeared. The so-called "perfection of retinue" refers to the bodhisattva generating the mind of unsurpassed enlightenment in all sentient beings and establishing them on the path to enlightenment, thereby possessing the retinue of a bodhisattva. The so-called "perfection of lifespan" refers to the fact that as soon as a bodhisattva on the ninth ground is born, by the power of previous merit, infinite realms of the world are filled with light, and those realms of the world shake in six ways. The so-called "perfection of renunciation" refers to the fact that when the bodhisattva renounces, he renounces together with countless billions of sentient beings, and those renunciate sentient beings will also definitely abide in the three vehicles. The so-called "perfection of the adornment of the Bodhi tree" refers to the fact that when the bodhisattva attains enlightenment under the Bodhi tree, the roots of the Bodhi tree are made of gold, the trunk is of the nature of lapis lazuli, the branches are made of the seven precious substances, and the flowers and leaves are made of various jewels. The fragrance and light of this tree will pervade infinite realms of the world. The so-called "perfection of completely perfecting all qualities" refers to the bodhisattva
