Because it is not without. The so-called "contradictory to emptiness" means that if there is a dharma called "emptiness" existing elsewhere, then the statement "all dharmas are empty" would also become contradictory because it is not without the nature of emptiness. However, the statement "all dharmas are empty" includes the absence of emptiness, so there is no contradiction in the statement "all dharmas are empty." Therefore, it does not contradict emptiness. The so-called "Subhuti, these twenty dharmas are not to be done" means that if a Bodhisattva abiding on the seventh ground does not do these twenty dharmas, then he has truly entered the Great Vehicle. The so-called "He should perfect these twenty dharmas," etc., refers to the Bodhisattva abiding on the seventh ground perfecting the twenty dharmas. The so-called "should perfect emptiness" means that one should not cling to emptiness as having its own nature. The so-called "manifest realization through the absence of characteristics" means that, in this way, because all dharmas are empty of their own nature, one does not pay attention to any characteristics. The so-called "without aspiration" means not being attached to or desiring all the dharmas of the three realms. The so-called "purity of the three spheres" means that here, it refers to not generating faults and shortcomings from the three doors of body, speech, and mind, and fully practicing the ten virtuous actions. The so-called "compassion and loving-kindness towards all sentient beings" means possessing the great compassion of a Bodhisattva. The so-called "not to despise those sentient beings" means possessing the great loving-kindness of a Bodhisattva, so one does not despise or slander all sentient beings. The so-called "viewing all dharmas as equality" means not distinguishing between samsara and nirvana, viewing them as without acceptance or rejection. The so-called "thoroughly understanding the correct principle and not becoming arrogant because of it" means thoroughly understanding that all dharmas are without substantial nature in the ultimate sense, and knowing that both the dharma that is understood and the one who understands are without object of focus, and are without understanding. The so-called "acceptance of non-arising" means understanding that all dharmas are without arising and without ceasing,

There is no birth and no cessation, so there is no fear. Knowing no birth means that under the forbearance of all dharmas not being born, the wisdom of knowing that all dharmas are not born naturally arises. Showing all dharmas in one way means that all dharmas are in one way with the nature of suchness, not showing the two extremes of existence and non-existence, permanence and impermanence, and so on. Correctly eliminating distinctions means that since distinctions are the afflictions of Bodhisattvas, all dharmas do not cling to all appearances and have no distinctions. Reversing views means turning away from the inferior views of Sravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. Reversing afflictions means that there is no connection for rebirth in Samsara due to the power of the habits of afflictions. The ground of Samatha and Vipassana means that not only is there no falling away from the Samadhi of the wisdom of knowing all aspects, but also with Vipassana, all dharmas are known in all aspects. A tamed mind means that the mind is not distracted and does not cling to the objects of the three realms. A peaceful mind means that the six senses do not scatter to the six objects and are not distracted. Without obstruction means that with the Buddha's eye, there is unobstructed knowledge of the dharmas of the world and beyond. Knowing the occasion of loving-kindness means not being like the loving-kindness of ordinary people, loving one side and hating the other, but having equanimity towards all sentient beings and entering into a state of equanimity. Going to any field one desires means that in whatever Buddha-field there is a completely pure mandala of the Tathagata's retinue, one manifests a body and goes there. Subhuti, these twenty dharmas are to be perfected by a Bodhisattva Mahasattva abiding in the seventh ground, which means that a Bodhisattva abiding in the seventh ground, if he perfects these dharmas, it is shown that he has truly entered the Mahayana. Subhuti, furthermore, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva abiding in the eighth ground
