It is called "the door of all dharmas" because there is no attachment to suffering. Suffering is called "ṭa da ka ra" in Indian language. Through the door of the letter "ṭa," one truly realizes that all dharmas are without substance, and there is no attachment to suffering or harm. The letter "ṭa" is the door to realizing that all dharmas are unattached to suffering or harm. It is called "ḍa" because there is no attachment to covering, and one ultimately abides, without death or rebirth. It is called "the door of all dharmas" because covering is called "ḍā ka na" in Indian language. Through the door of the letter "ḍa," one truly realizes that all dharmas are without substance, covered by the obscurations of afflictions, and under the control of afflictions, until the end of samsara. There is no transference of life or birth. The letter "ḍa" is the door to realizing that all dharmas are unattached to covering, and there is no transference of life or birth, as it is said. These letters and syllables are not explained in the order of ka, etc., because they appear without order in the dharanis and mantras. Therefore, from the words of the dharanis and mantras, examine the meaning of each letter that appears, and if you meditate, you will understand the meaning of the unarisenness of all dharmas, etc. Therefore, dharani is called the door to generating wisdom and memory. These letters are called the doors of dharani. Up to this point, there are no names for letters, meaning that the letters through which one understands meaning are exhausted here. There is nothing more than this. Why? Because, for anything, by what name it is called, and by what it is expressed, etc., these as names for letters, there is no more reason than this, that is, naming through the way of expressing words and letters, expressing, showing to others, writing in letters, making it appear and clear, and all that can be read, are limited to these. All such names are included in this, and there is nothing more than this. Subhuti, for example, like space.

Similarly, "to comprehend all dharmas" means that the letters of the dharani, expressed in conventional sounds and terms, pervade all dharmas, and in the ultimate truth, they show the example of being of one taste in equality. Subhuti, if a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva is skilled in fully understanding the letters such as A, then he will not be attached to sounds, etc. This is to show the merits of mastering this door of dharani. The so-called not being attached to any sound means that one understands the meanings expressed and shown by the letters, such as non-origination, and therefore it shows that one will not be attached to those things. Therefore, in order to clearly show that meaning, it is said that "everything will be truly accomplished by the nature of dharma," meaning that all that is expressed in words and letters will, through the door of letters such as A, realize all dharmas from the ultimate truth, from the beginning as non-origination, etc., and thus meditate on the nature of emptiness. The so-called "will gain mastery in understanding sounds" means that it shows the mastery of the conventional and ultimate truth of all sounds expressed as words by letters. Subhuti, if a Bodhisattva enters this mudra of letters such as A, etc., this is to show the twenty benefits of hearing, practicing, and teaching these doors of dharani to others. The so-called mudra is because each letter of A, etc., shows the meaning of non-origination, etc., so it is a sign and characteristic. The so-called word of mudra refers to words that can be expressed as mantras from the combination of many letters. The twenty benefits are counted as one benefit from mindfulness and intelligence to having fearlessness. From "also attains this door of dharani without obstacles" to "abiding properly" is also counted as one benefit. From being skilled in sounds and below, if counted individually, it will become twenty benefits. The meaning of the Mahayana is as previously explained.

Eleventh, the Chapter on Renunciation. Thus, Venerable One, what is the Great Vehicle? After the venerable Subhuti asked, the Blessed One revealed twenty-one kinds of Great Vehicles. Thereafter, in order to explain the meaning of the question, "How does one truly enter the Great Vehicle?" the Blessed One said, "Subhuti, what you say, 'How does a Bodhisattva truly enter the Great Vehicle,' etc." Subhuti, here, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the six perfections and ascends from level to level, meaning that the Bodhisattva perfects the six perfections in each of the ten levels, and ascends from higher to higher levels, this is truly entering the Great Vehicle. For example, since all phenomena are without change, no phenomenon comes or goes, nor is there any change or near change. Thus, the ascent from level to level is merely a conventional presentation. In reality, all phenomena are of one taste in equality, therefore, the Bodhisattva, the level, and the Bodhisattva who causes the ascent are all imperceptible, hence, there is no ascent, going, or change from level to level. Coming, going, changing, and near changing are all synonyms for ascending and going. However, there is no boasting or thinking about what all phenomena are. Thus, in reality, all phenomena are of one taste in equality, and because there is no change, there is no boasting or clinging to characteristics due to the state of ascending and changing. It is not that one does not purify the levels, meaning that in conventional truth, it is not that one does not attain the qualities of the ten Bodhisattva levels, or that one does not eliminate the faults related to opposing factors. Nor does one truly see that level, meaning that thus, with skillful means, one purifies the levels in conventional truth, but in ultimate truth, one does not regard that level as real. What is the purification of the levels of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva? Subhuti, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva who abides in the first level
