所谓“ra,是指因远离尘垢之故,是诸法之门”,是指远离尘垢,在印度语中称为raja apagata(藏文:ར་ཛ་ཨ་པ་ག་ཏ།,梵文天城体:रज अपगत,梵文罗马拟音:raja apagata,汉语字面意思:离尘)。因为通过字母ra之门能够领悟到诸法远离尘垢,所以字母ra是显示诸法远离尘垢之门。所谓“pa,是指显示胜义之故,是诸法之门”,是指胜义,在印度语中称为paramartha(藏文:པ་ར་མཱརྠ།,梵文天城体:परमार्थ,梵文罗马拟音:paramartha,汉语字面意思:胜义)。因为通过字母pa之门能够领悟到胜义,所以字母pa是领悟到诸法在胜义中一味的门。所谓“ca,是指不观察到死殁和生起之故,诸法无有死殁和生起,所以是诸法之门”,是指死殁和生起,在印度语中称为cyavanopapatti(藏文:ཙྱ་པ་ནོ་པ་པཏྟི།,梵文天城体:च्यवनोपपत्ति,梵文罗马拟音:cyavanopapatti,汉语字面意思:死生)。因为通过字母ca之门能够领悟到诸法没有死殁和生起,所以字母ca是显示诸法没有死殁和生起的门。所谓“na,是指远离名相且未得未失名相之自性,所以是诸法之门”,是指远离名相,在印度语中

Now, "this" refers to the letters that, based on the letter A and so on, reveal the meaning when the meaning of unborn and so on is realized; and when the dharmas to be spoken and shown are realized as unborn and so on, and become one taste and equal in such a nature, it is called equality of letters and equality of speech. "The gate of letters and the entering of letters" means that through the gate of the letter A and so on, the meaning of equality such as unborn can be realized. Because the gate for entering such a meaning is the letters, it is called the gate of letters and entering the letters. Therefore, in order to clarify these two meanings, what are the gate of letters and the entering of letters? "A, because it is unborn, is the gate of all dharmas," and so on, is said. Unborn, in Indian language is called Anutpanna (藏文:ཨ་ནུཏྤནྣ།,梵文天城体:अनुत्पन्न,梵文罗马拟音:anutpanna,汉语字面意思:Unborn). Therefore, since the meaning of unborn can be realized through the gate of the letter A, the letter A is the gate that shows that all dharmas are unborn. "Ra, because it is free from dust, is the gate of all dharmas," refers to being free from dust, which in Indian language is called Raja Apagata (藏文:ར་ཛ་ཨ་པ་ག་ཏ།,梵文天城体:रज अपगत,梵文罗马拟音:raja apagata,汉语字面意思:Free from dust). Because through the gate of the letter Ra, it can be realized that all dharmas are free from dust, the letter Ra is the gate that shows that all dharmas are free from dust. "Pa, because it shows the ultimate meaning, is the gate of all dharmas," refers to the ultimate meaning, which in Indian language is called Paramartha (藏文:པ་ར་མཱརྠ།,梵文天城体:परमार्थ,梵文罗马拟音:paramartha,汉语字面意思:Ultimate meaning). Because through the gate of the letter Pa, the ultimate meaning can be realized, the letter Pa is the gate that makes one realize that all dharmas are of one taste in the ultimate meaning. "Ca, because it does not observe death and birth, all dharmas have no death and birth, so it is the gate of all dharmas," refers to death and birth, which in Indian language is called Cyavanopapatti (藏文:ཙྱ་པ་ནོ་པ་པཏྟི།,梵文天城体:च्यवनोपपत्ति,梵文罗马拟音:cyavanopapatti,汉语字面意思:Death and birth). Because through the gate of the letter Ca, it can be realized that all dharmas have no death and birth, the letter Ca is the gate that shows that all dharmas have no death and birth. "Na, because it is free from names and has neither obtained nor lost the nature of names, it is the gate of all dharmas," refers to being free from names, in Indian language

In Sanskrit, it is called "Nama Apagata," because through the letter "na," one can realize that all dharmas are devoid of names and have no self-nature of names. The letter "na" is the door that truly shows that all dharmas are devoid of names. The so-called "nature of name is neither obtained nor lost" refers to the dharmas that can be established as names, and the name itself is not established as real in the ultimate truth. Therefore, there is nothing to establish, hence it is called unobtainable. Also, because there is no way to abandon the name, it is called unlost. Thus, these are the five letters of the mantra. The so-called "A Ra Pa Tsa Na" means that through the door of each letter, one can realize that all dharmas are unborn in the ultimate truth, etc., and it is shown to be the door for generating wisdom and evil dharanis. Similarly, in order to show that the words of other dharani mantras are also doors that show that all dharmas are unreal in the ultimate truth through each letter. The so-called "la" means that in order to transcend the world and completely destroy the cause and conditions of the spread of craving, it is the door of all dharmas, etc. Transcending the world is called "Lokottara" in Sanskrit, because the self-nature of Suchness in the ultimate truth is completely pure, so it transcends the world, which can be realized through the letter "la." The so-called spread of craving is called "Trishna Lata" in Sanskrit, because through the letter "la," one can realize that all dharmas are free from the bondage of craving in the ultimate truth, so the letter "la" is the door of all dharmas. The so-called "da" means that in order to fully determine the tamed and the place of taming, it is the door of all dharmas. Taming is called "Danta" in Sanskrit. Through the letter "da," one can realize that the untamed afflictions and actions are unreal in the ultimate truth. Thus, if one can realize that the untamed is unreal, then one can fully determine the tamed and the place of taming, so the letter "da" is the door of all dharmas. The so-called "ba" means that in order to be free from bondage, it is the door of all dharmas. Bondage is called "Bandhana" in Sanskrit. Through the letter "ba," one can realize that all dharmas are free from bondage in the ultimate truth.
