The Great Vehicle of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva is like this: the ten powers of the Tathagata, etc., are taught as the ten powers of the Tathagata being the Great Vehicle. "Knowing what is possible and what is impossible as it is," means that experiencing happiness as the result of virtuous actions is possible; experiencing suffering as the result of virtuous actions is impossible; experiencing suffering as the result of non-virtuous actions is impossible; experiencing happiness as the result of non-virtuous actions is impossible, and so on. Knowing all aspects of the agreement and disagreement, reasonableness and unreasonableness of the causes and effects of good and bad actions, with unobstructed wisdom, knowing without inversion, is called the power of knowing what is possible and what is impossible. "Knowing the actions of the past, future, and present, and the ripening of the actions taken, and the nature of the cause, as it is," means knowing the good and bad actions done by beings through body, speech, and mind, what was done in the past, what is being done now, and what will be done in the future, and also knowing how the ripening of those actions will mature, without inversion, is called the power of knowing the ripening of actions. "Actions taken" refers to taking what is happy now but will experience suffering in the future, or taking what will experience happiness in the future for someone now, and so on. "The nature of the place" refers to the location and place where beings perform actions, and where and in what place the results will ripen, which is called the nature of the place. "The nature of the cause" refers to the cause of performing actions, whether it is a mind with virtuous roots or a mind with non-virtuous roots, which is called the nature of the cause. "Various realms, that is, multiple realms," refers to the world.

English

Because it depends on impermanence and exists dependently, sentient beings are called the world. 'Realm' refers to the thoughts or nature of sentient beings, that is, the thoughts or nature of sentient beings, which are many and varied, inconceivable, and unknowable by hearers and solitary realizers, etc. The Tathagata knows each person's thoughts as they are, just like lying in bed, and teaches the Dharma in accordance with this, which is called the power of knowing various realms. Knowing the various inclinations of other sentient beings and individuals, as well as the true nature of multiple inclinations, means knowing the differences in the faith and inclinations of sentient beings, whether superior, middling, or inferior, as they are, and teaching the Dharma in accordance with this, which is called the power of knowing various inclinations. Knowing the superior and inferior faculties of other sentient beings and individuals means knowing the sharpness and dullness of the faculties of sentient beings, the three levels of superior, middling, and inferior, and the strength of the five faculties such as faith, and teaching the Dharma in accordance with this, which is called the power of knowing the superior and inferior faculties. Knowing the true nature of all paths of travel means that the lineages of sentient beings are defined as correct, incorrect, and undefined, and each enters the path and attains the result according to their lineage, which is called all paths of travel. Among them, correct definition refers to having the lineage to enter the noble path. Incorrect definition refers to having the lineage to enter worldly views. Undefined means that there is no absolute certainty and can be guided at will. Knowing these as they are is called the power of knowing all paths of travel. Knowing the faculties, powers, limbs of enlightenment, meditation, liberation, samadhi, attainments, all defilements, purification, establishment, and true nature means knowing the five faculties such as faith, the five powers, and the limbs of enlightenment such as right mindfulness.
