Accomplishing the meaning of all, with the power and qualities of all samadhis, like a king, hence it is called the King of Samadhis. Therefore, in that samadhi, all samadhis gather, are contained, follow, and will gather. Among them, by the names "gathering" and "containing," it is shown that all those samadhis are without discrimination and unwavering, the mind abiding in one-pointedness and possessing the nature of equanimity, being one and undifferentiated. By the names "following" and "will gather," it is shown that the deeds of emitting light rays and benefiting sentient beings, etc., are all one. The miraculous manifestations of the King of Samadhis are also shown in four ways: emitting light rays from the limbs and parts, emitting light rays from the pores, emitting light rays from the nature, and emitting light rays from the power of the tongue. Thereupon, the Bhagavan, contemplating and truly knowing, arose from that samadhi and gazed with the divine eye upon this Buddha-field. Having gazed thus, from the emanation of intense light from all bodies, from "whichever sentient beings saw that light, and whichever that light touched, all of them were assured of attaining unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment," the miraculous manifestation of emitting light rays from the limbs and parts was shown. Thereupon, the Bhagavan, contemplating and truly knowing, showed that by abiding in samadhi in this way, he remembered his former vows and knew that the time had come to benefit sentient beings. Gazing with the divine eye upon this Buddha-field showed that he gazed in order to examine whether the sentient beings abiding in this Buddha-field possessed the fortune or not. Although the Bhagavan does not possess such contemplation and the realization of gazing, it is so that the faculties of the beings to be tamed can see in this way, and so that the Dharma-gathering Bodhisattvas can express it in worldly terms, and so that the beings of the future can expound the Dharma.

It is said in this way to show the method of generating joy. The statement "billions of hundreds of thousands of kotis of rays of light appeared" means that the rays of light of the Tathagata have six colors: blue, yellow, red, white, light green, and bright light. When these six colors of light radiate in ten directions, they become sixty. Becoming billions of hundreds of thousands of kotis is because there are many beings to be tamed and many meanings to be accomplished, so it should be known that even one color of light can radiate so much. The two mentions of "sixty sixty" mean that in order to respect the parts and limbs of the body such as the two feet, which are mostly in pairs, it is repeated twice. These rays of light also accomplish two meanings: accomplishing the matter of illuminating all world realms, and accomplishing the matter of benefiting sentient beings. Among them, through "all these sixty billions of hundreds of thousands of kotis of rays of light illuminated this entire three thousand great thousand world realm," etc., it shows the accomplishment of illuminating all world realms. Through "any sentient beings who see this light, or are touched by this light, they will all surely attain unsurpassed perfect enlightenment," etc., it shows the accomplishment of benefiting sentient beings. Then, through "the Blessed One again radiated light from all the pores," etc., it shows the miracle of radiating light from the pores. These rays of light also accomplish two ultimate meanings, as before. Then, through "the Blessed One again with the light of the Tathagata's own nature," etc., it shows the miracle of radiating the light of the Tathagata's own nature. These rays of light also accomplish two ultimate meanings, as before. "Light of one's own nature" refers to the body color being beautiful and radiating light. Then, the Blessed One extended the power of his tongue from his mouth, etc.
