It is to pay attention with wisdom and caution. Being mindful means that mindfulness is not ignorant of the invisible object, and that it is protected from being shaken by incompatible factors, and that it is mindful and not distracted. "Eliminating worldly attachments and displeasure" refers to showing the merits of diligence, mindfulness, and mindfulness. Abandoning the eight worldly dharmas is called eliminating attachments and displeasure. Among them, non-attachment arises for gain, fame, happiness, and praise. Displeasure arises for not gaining, not being famous, suffering, and being slandered. Abandoning these worldly dharmas is called eliminating worldly attachments and displeasure. Not discriminating against the discriminations associated with the body means that although one observes the body in this way in the conventional sense, one does not see it in this way in the ultimate sense. The meaning of what is said about following, diligence, having mindfulness, eliminating worldly attachments and displeasure, etc., should be applied in the same way to everything below. From observing the inner feelings in a non-attached way to not discriminating against the discriminations associated with feelings, it shows the establishment of mindfulness of feelings. Among them, the so-called inner feelings refer to the feelings that arise from focusing on one's own body, namely pleasure, pain, and equanimity. External feelings are the three types of feelings that arise from focusing on external objects that are not associated with mind and mental factors. Inner and outer feelings are the three types of feelings that arise from focusing on the bodies of other sentient beings. From observing the inner mind in a non-attached way to not discriminating against the discriminations associated with the mind, it shows the establishment of mindfulness of the mind, as described in the case of external, internal, and inner and outer feelings. The so-called mind refers to the mind with desire, without desire, and with hatred, etc.

and with hatred and without hatred, with ignorance and without ignorance, and so on. From following the Dharma in a way that does not focus on the inner Dharma, to not distinguishing between discriminations that are in accordance with the Dharma, this shows the establishment of mindfulness of the Dharma. Inner, outer, and inner-outer are as previously explained. Dharma refers to worldly Dharmas such as aggregates, realms, and sources, as well as transcendental Dharmas such as the aspects of enlightenment. Having thus explained the four establishments of mindfulness in the manner of the Bodhisattva Vehicle, in order to explain the establishment of mindfulness of the body in the manner that comes from the Hearer Vehicle, the Blessed One said, "Subhuti, how does a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practice by observing the body in the inner body?" and so on. Subhuti, here, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva walks, he knows that he is walking, from this sentence to Subhuti, now when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he observes the body in a way that does not focus on the inner body, he is diligent, possesses mindfulness, and possesses mindfulness, eliminating worldly attachment and displeasure and practicing, in between is the teaching of the establishment of mindfulness of the body through the four doors of deportment. Among them, there are two types of deportment: great deportment and small deportment. Among them, great deportment refers to when walking a long distance, walking, standing, sitting, and sleeping, one observes the deportment of the body in which one is engaged, without letting the mind wander, and abiding in mindfulness. That is, from "Subhuti, here, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva walks, he knows that he is walking" to "eliminating worldly attachment and displeasure and practicing" is what is taught. Subhuti, furthermore, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices by observing the body in a way that does not focus on the inner body, walking or light also practices with mindfulness.

From "is," up to "when abiding correctly internally, one also acts with mindfulness," this shows the subtle conduct. That is, going from one village to another, and when staying in one place, actions such as walking and staying nearby, maintaining caution and mindfulness, this is called subtle conduct. The "going or coming" mentioned above refers to going and coming from one village to another. The "going" mentioned below refers to going and coming when acting nearby. The so-called "abiding correctly internally" refers to placing the samadhi of shamatha and vipassana in equanimity and staying in a secluded place. Furthermore, Subhuti, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita, from "remembering and breathing in, also truly knowing that it is remembering and breathing in," up to "Subhuti, thus a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, when practicing the Prajnaparamita, follows the body by not focusing on the inner body, diligently, with mindfulness, with remembrance, eliminates worldly attachments and sorrows and acts," this shows that when breathing in and out with the inner body, one abides in mindfulness. That is, when a meditator practices in order not to distract the mind and to make the mind capable of meditation, the breath goes in and out long and short. One should remember and be aware of it with both mindfulness and awareness. Without distracting the mind to other internal and external objects such as form, without focusing, observe the breath going in and out and practice the mind. When the mind is capable after practicing in this way, the body is also capable. The breath going in and out will also become more and more comfortable, smaller and more subtle. When the breath becomes more and more comfortable, smaller and more subtle, the mind's distraction and conceptualization will also become more and more comfortable, less and more subtle. The mind will focus on the object of focus. Therefore, it shows abiding in mindfulness of breathing in and out.
