Having attained the forbearance of unborn dharmas, not desiring the grounds of Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas, but believing in and rejoicing in the omniscient wisdom itself, is the teaching of the perfection of patience. When a Bodhisattva-Mahāsattva generates a mind endowed with all-knowingness, in order to completely abandon non-virtuous dharmas and accomplish perfect virtuous dharmas, not abandoning diligence, these practices are the perfection of diligence practiced by Bodhisattva-Mahāsattvas for immeasurable beings. Taking up and cultivating the four immeasurables, while simultaneously accomplishing the perfection of diligence, is the teaching. Not being discouraged in the middle from generating the mind of all-knowingness, abandoning the dharmas of opposing factors, and not abandoning the diligence of familiarizing oneself with the dharmas of antidotes, is the teaching of the perfection of diligence. When a Bodhisattva-Mahāsattva also dwells equally in the samādhis of dhyāna, the four immeasurables, and the formless absorptions, these practices are the perfection of dhyāna practiced by Bodhisattva-Mahāsattvas for immeasurable beings. Taking up and cultivating the four immeasurables, while simultaneously accomplishing the perfection of dhyāna, is the teaching. Not being reborn there because of the samādhis of dhyāna, the four immeasurables, and the formless absorptions, not being attached to the enjoyment of the bliss of dhyāna, etc., not being transformed by dhyāna, etc., and not letting the mind be distracted elsewhere from the mindfulness of all-knowingness, is the teaching of the perfection of dhyāna. When a Bodhisattva-Mahāsattva has a mind endowed with all-knowingness, until the venerable Śāradvatīputra says, "This is the great vehicle of the Bodhisattva-Mahāsattva," taking up and cultivating the four immeasurables, while simultaneously accomplishing the perfection of wisdom.

This is an explanation of establishing the Dharma: By the power of wisdom, contemplating meditation and other practices in the manner of the Hearer's Vehicle, as impermanent, suffering, selfless, peaceful, empty, signless, and wishless, and not attaining the stages of Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, this is the manifestation of the Perfection of Wisdom. Shariputra, endowed with life, furthermore, the Great Vehicle of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva is that even knowing the emptiness of the interior, it is not in a manner of clinging. And so on, even knowing the emptiness of the nature of non-things, it is not in a manner of clinging. Shariputra, endowed with life, this is the Bodhisattva Mahasattva's Great Vehicle. Up to here, it is said that the eighteen emptinesses are understood in the conventional truth, but in the ultimate truth, there is no clinging, this is the Great Vehicle. Acting in this way is truly entering the Great Vehicle, this is the fifth point. Shariputra, endowed with life, furthermore, the Great Vehicle of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva is knowing that the mind is not disturbed and dwells equally in all dharmas. Shariputra, endowed with life, this is the Bodhisattva Mahasattva's Great Vehicle. This is saying that not clinging to the characteristics of all dharmas, therefore the mind is not distracted and dwells equally, this is the Great Vehicle. Acting in this way is truly entering the Great Vehicle, this is the sixth point. Here, all dharmas refer to pure dharmas. The mind is not disturbed, refers to not clinging to the characteristics of pure dharmas and the mind is not distracted. Shariputra, endowed with life, furthermore, the Great Vehicle of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva is not being led to understand concepts such as permanence. And so on, Shariputra, endowed with life, this is the Bodhisattva Mahasattva's Great Vehicle in a non-clinging manner. Up to here, it is said that not clinging to the two extremes of permanence and impermanence, this is the Great Vehicle. Acting in this way is truly entering the Great Vehicle, this is the seventh point. Shariputra, endowed with life,

Napa Sharadvatiputra, furthermore, the Mahayana of the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva does not cause consciousness to enter the desire realm, nor does it cause consciousness to enter the form and formless realms, but it is also not without knowing the desire, form, and formless realms. Son of the venerable Sharadvati, this too, by way of non-objectification, the so-called Mahayana of the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, in terms of ultimate truth, is the realization of the equality of the three realms, and in terms of conventional truth, it is also not without knowing the characteristics of the three realms, this is the Mahayana. Such conduct is truly entering the Mahayana, thus it is taught, the eighth chapter. Son of the venerable Sharadvati, furthermore, the Mahayana of the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, from "is" to "Son of the venerable Sharadvati, this too, by way of non-objectification, the so-called Mahayana of the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva," does not cause consciousness to enter the worldly and transworldly dharmas, as well as the defiled and undefiled dharmas, and the conditioned and unconditioned dharmas, but in terms of conventional truth, it is also not without knowing the individual self-characteristics and general characteristics of the dharmas, this is the Mahayana, and such conduct is truly entering the Mahayana, thus it is taught, the ninth chapter. Thus, in order to truly enter the Mahayana, one is called a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, the noble Gangpo taught the meaning of this word, and by how much one truly enters the Mahayana, and what the Mahayana is, the noble Sharadvatiputra asked, the noble Gangpo answered the Mahayana and truly entering the Mahayana in nine ways, after teaching that, in order to distinguish the chapter that explains in detail the meaning of abiding in the Mahayana, he said: Venerable Gangpo, by how much is a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva said to abide in the Mahayana, thus he asked. Gangpo said: Son of the venerable Sharadvati, here, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita, the Dana Paramita
