Furthermore, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, with a mind endowed with the knowledge of all aspects, engages equally and arises equally from meditations, liberations, samadhis, and attainments, but does not fall into the level of a Hearer or a Solitary Realizer, this is said to be the Perfection of Meditation of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. This shows that while practicing meditations, the immeasurables, and the formless attainments, one also completely accomplishes the Perfection of Meditation. Thus, while practicing meditation and so on, one should keep in mind the knowledge of all aspects. Not letting the mind wander to other things due to the thoughts of Hearers and Solitary Realizers is what is shown to be the Perfection of Meditation. Here again, there are four meditations, four immeasurables, and four formless attainments. Since the time when these two types of Dharma are practiced is also the occasion for completely accomplishing the six perfections, the appearance of "liberation" and "samadhi" means that in order to attain liberation, one should practice the samadhi of the four immeasurables, and it should be understood that this is the practice of the four immeasurables. When a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, with a mind endowed with the knowledge of all aspects, practices the limbs of the first dhyana, and so on. This is the Perfection of Wisdom of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. Venerable Sharadvatiputra! This is the Great Vehicle in which a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva engages in the Perfection of Wisdom. Thus, while practicing the twelve Dharmas such as meditation, one also completely accomplishes the Perfection of Wisdom. This shows that when practicing the twelve Dharmas such as the four meditations, one distinguishes them with wisdom in the conventional truth as impermanent, suffering, and so on, and in the ultimate truth, one does not fixate on them, and one does not become arrogant because of them, this is what is shown to be the Perfection of Wisdom. Among them, the limbs of the first dhyana are five: initial application, sustained application, joy, bliss, and one-pointedness of mind.

The limbs are complete inner taming, joy, bliss, and one-pointedness of mind, these four. The limbs of the third dhyana are equanimity, mindfulness, clear knowing, bliss, and one-pointedness of mind, these five. The limbs of the fourth dhyana are neither suffering nor pleasure, equanimity, mindfulness, and one-pointedness of mind, these four. Furthermore, son of Sharadvati, the venerable one, the great vehicle of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva is from meditating on the four mindfulnesses in all aspects, to meditating on all-knowingness in all aspects. Son of Sharadvati, the venerable one, this is called the great vehicle of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, from the four mindfulnesses to all-knowingness, all the pure dharmas mentioned by name, meditating on them in all aspects is the great vehicle, and it is truly entering the great vehicle, this is the third (part). "Meditating in all aspects" means that in conventional truth, one understands the self and general characteristics of the dharmas such as the four mindfulnesses without inversion, and in ultimate truth, one does not perceive them as real entities. Furthermore, son of Sharadvati, the venerable one, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva abides in the samadhi of loving-kindness, and is devoted to "I shall completely protect all sentient beings," from here to "This is the Prajnaparamita of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, son of Sharadvati, the venerable one, this is called the great vehicle of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva," it means earnestly cultivating the four immeasurables, and in the process, accomplishing the perfection of the six paramitas, this is the great vehicle, and it is truly entering the great vehicle, this is the fourth (part). Among them, from "abiding in the samadhi of loving-kindness" to "This is the Bodhisattva Mahasattva's generosity paramita that practices the immeasurables," it means earnestly cultivating the immeasurables, and in the process, teaching the complete accomplishment of the generosity paramita.

That is, all sentient beings should be completely protected, and to be devoted to this means that by the power of loving-kindness, one protects from the fear of enemies and so on, and bestows fearlessness. To be compassionate to sentient beings and to practice loving-kindness means that by the power of compassion, one protects from illness and death, and bestows fearlessness. To think of sentient beings as "I myself should liberate them" means that by the power of joy, one liberates from famine and lack of the necessities of life, and bestows fearlessness. To be greatly devoted to enduring the faults of sentient beings means that even if sentient beings' anger and other afflictions cause harm to oneself, one accepts it with equanimity, endures it, and does not retaliate, thus bestowing fearlessness. Although the perfection of generosity has already been mentioned in general here, it actually refers to bestowing fearlessness. When a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, through meditation and immeasurables, and so on, up to "the perfection of discipline is completely uncorrupted," it means that by focusing on the immeasurables, while practicing, it also shows the complete accomplishment of the perfection of discipline, that is, not退失(tuì shī, falling back) from the intention to attain omniscience, and not achieving the level of a Shravaka or Pratyekabuddha, this is the complete non-corruption of the perfection of discipline. The aspects, reasons, and characteristics of the four immeasurables, such as vastness and extreme expansiveness, have been explained before. When a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices meditation, immeasurables, and formless absorptions without mixing them, and does not generate desire for the two levels, that is, the level of a Shravaka or Pratyekabuddha, but aspires to and rejoices in omniscience, this is the perfection of patience practiced by a Bodhisattva Mahasattva in the immeasurables, which means that by focusing on the four immeasurables, while practicing, it also shows the complete accomplishment of the perfection of patience, that is, not being afraid of the profound Dharma of non-origination.
