What is the reason for that? The first of these is that of ordinary beings, and the second is that of noble ones. These also each have nine natures. If you ask how these are grasping thoughts, it is because they grasp only what does not exist. What is not as it is is discrimination. This very thing. If the object of grasping does not exist as such, then it is desired to grasp those. In this way, the characteristic of those grasping is emptiness of essence. It is said. The essence of grasping means the essence of grasping that exists. Those means the aspects of grasping. These four discriminations also have nine aspects each due to the difference of the object. Among them, with regard to the first, it is said in the treatise: Essence and lineage, the path is the accomplishment of limbs, the object of knowledge is not mistaken, dissimilar aspects and antidotes, self-realization and action, and its action and the fruit of action, having a basis in the aspect of entering, that discrimination is considered to be ninefold. It is said. Action, and its action and the fruit of action, are action, and its action, and the fruit of action. Its essence and so on, the nine are the aspect of entering, because it is what a Bodhisattva should take and abandon. This dependence on that is discrimination, that is the first. Therefore, with regard to discrimination, it is said in the sutra that there are nine kinds of words. Among them, with regard to the first, the words of the sutra are, Subhuti asked, Blessed One, the mind is like an illusion, and so on, until it is said that it acts. The illusion of the elephant and so on transformed by the magician. Similarly, whatever else appears also does not exist, it is like an illusion. Similarly, the mind is also the characteristic of grasping, because the characteristic of grasping also does not exist, without the grasped, grasping is unreasonable. If the object of grasping does not exist as such? If meaning appears to consciousness, then if it is to be grasped, appearance also does not exist, because appearance and appearance are contradictory. If meaning appears by itself, then what does consciousness do? Therefore, the mind is like an illusion. There is not.

Now, how to manifest complete enlightenment is the question. "Venerable One, it is not so," is the answer, because it does not exist, that is his meaning. "Elsewhere," is the answer. That Dharma is self-nature. "It is not so," is because that is completely non-existent, that is his intention. In order to clarify this very point. "Venerable One, I," and so on, said that, "existence and non-existence," cannot be shown, because the nature of consciousness is not existence, and the connection of negation is without reason, that is his intention. "Any Dharma," is easy to understand. However, because of that, and so on. "However," is unbearable. "Because of that," is the characteristic of grasping, and the characteristic of grasping is also unreasonable. Especially speaking, it shows like this. How the emptiness of the self-characteristic of grasping, similarly, all that are similarly possessed are also the same. Those are also the characteristics of grasping. All Dharmas that have become objects, because the object is the characteristic of what is to be taken, all Dharmas are also appropriately the characteristics of what is to be taken and grasped. Also, how can there be no object and grasper? Because there is no difference, it is unreasonable to take and grasp, just like a finger. The born is different, because it is impossible to appear to others, the unborn, because it does not appear by itself, so that is not to be meditated upon, again and again the mind does not enter, like a donkey's horn. That Dharma, etc., any Dharma, is perfect complete enlightenment, etc. To obtain is to produce. To abandon is to discard. For the non-existent, because there is nothing to do. If a Bodhisattva relies on this dependent arising to perfect enlightenment, Venerable One, how, etc., saying that, thinking that for the non-existent, there is no attainment. Supreme, etc., like the Perfection of Wisdom, is extremely solitary.

What is called "how to transform" is not to transform. What is completely non-existent is to be proven, and it is thought that proving it is unreasonable. Such is the request, etc. For "because of what and therefore," what is called "the result is in accordance with the cause," this is the meaning. Subhuti, if, etc., this is to make the argument complete. If correct knowledge is discrimination, then it is not Prajnaparamita. Subhuti, if it is so, etc., this is the conclusion. What is called "manifest enlightenment" is thought that manifest enlightenment is non-discrimination. What is called "manifest enlightenment is also attained," etc., in the nature of the completely imputed, these three do not exist, in the nature of the empty, completely imputed consciousness, they do exist, so it is thought. Although this is so, because the very appearance of conventional truth is non-existent, emptiness is the ultimate truth. What is called "acting in the profound meaning," because others cannot act on the meaning, it is difficult to act. Because the Bhagavan, although he directly realized it, directly realizing it is for the benefit of sentient beings. What is called "the meaning of what was said" is the meaning of the profound intention. Difficulty is for others, easy is for Bodhisattvas, so it is thought. Why is it easy? Because of skillful means, and that means is Prajnaparamita. Therefore, the Bhagavan said "this is" etc. What is called "who" is the Bodhisattva. What is called "what" is the profound meaning. What is called "by what" is by Prajnaparamita. If one acts in Prajnaparamita, can one act in this way alone? Therefore, the Bhagavan said "if" etc. Not being timid is not being afraid, this is the teaching. These six, not being afraid etc., are the explanation. Not being afraid and completely not being afraid is not having joy in this. "Not turning away" is not not having joy.
