If it is practice, it is growth. What is practice? It is accumulating generosity. Entering the mind,ยะ (ya) means walking, it is the meaning of taking. Generating the mind means "How wonderful! I shall realize this." Becoming carried means about to die. Equality is reason. The other shore is without fault. The edge is nirvana. May those be accomplished, it is connected with generating the mind. Seeking is for the sake of joy. Completely contemplating is because of repeatedly arising. Completely holding is in the manner of completely not abandoning. The so-called Buddha's Dharma, Buddha is the all-knowing one. His Dharma refers to the teachings. There are three explanations here: the all-knowing one's all-knowing one's object, because the all-knowing one becomes the all-knowing one, self-arising, and not being taken away. Among them, knowing all dharmas with all-knowing wisdom is all-knowing wisdom. The Dharma here, because it arises only from one's own mind, is self-arising, which is the meaning of mastering all dharmas. His Dharma is completely encompassed by self-arising nature. Because there is no being taken away here, it is not being taken away, which is the meaning of being liberated from all obscurations with habitual tendencies. His Dharma is completely encompassed by the nature of not being taken away, may all those be completely perfected. With just this, perfection is shown. Completely not abandoning the meaning of sentient beings, the Blessed One said "I" etc., what are these said? It is said "From where" etc., from where means how. This is certain. It should be declared that the mind universally abides, which is the meaning of samadhi. Therefore, it is said in the treatises: Taking the four continents and a thousand, and two thousand and three thousand as examples, with many merits, samadhi is proclaimed. It is said in the sutras that with many merits,

My Samadhi teaching is not directly perceived. How so? It is like the example of the four continents, and the thousand, two thousand, and three thousand worlds. Which scripture speaks of this? It is spoken from "What is the Blessed One" to "will become manifest." "Those" refers to all. "Those" refers to similarity. Dharma-nature is the collection or essence of Dharma. The number of weights is the measure of weight. "To be measured" means to say this is the measure of weight. If asked, what is this an example of? The measure of merit is the measure of Jambudvipa and so on, and it should also be applied to treatises. Merely rejoicing, is this the measure of merit, or is it not for Samadhi? If one infers from the merit of rejoicing and thinks that the merit is greater, there is no fault, because it is for the sake of perfecting rejoicing. It is for the sake of reproaching those who do not act in this way. Thus it is said, such as teaching and so on. "Blessed by the demon" means that the demon has made it unpleasant by many means. Unequal is from the sound. Not seeking is from the meaning. Unseen is from respect. Not thinking is not manifesting. The things of the demon's side are transformed into the demon's side. Such is for the sake of destroying the great benefit of sentient beings. "Dying and transmigrating from the place of the demon" means only the demon and that which is extremely in accordance with the Dharma. "Manifest" means to generate. By what? Such as generating Bodhicitta and so on. "Dedication" means rejoicing. "Rejoicing?" means not only, but the rest. What is it? It is said to be rejoicing. To whom by what? Such as the Blessed One and so on, and the Blessed One by what and so on. From "Thus requested" to "should rejoice" is to show to Indra. From Kauśika to the reason for rejoicing is to rejoice in entering the Mahayana.

the benefits of. Among them, the words "what" and so on, first of all, are the mind. It is not only rejoicing, but also can arise and accomplish in one's own mindstream. Rejoicing must also be dedicated. It should be understood that how one rejoices, so one dedicates. As it is said in the Great Perfection of Wisdom Sutra, the roots of virtue of rejoicing should be dedicated to the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. Such dedication is neither mind contemplating mind, nor something outside of mind, and so on. Therefore, the root of virtue corresponding to rejoicing is the object of this samadhi. Dedicating to perfect enlightenment is the aspect, and the mind pervades the nature. What is the pervading nature? The mind is not the nature of grasping, nor is it anything else, that is, it is not for all dharmas. However, the suchness of all dharmas is non-dual, and the mind pervades it. The conceptual thoughts to be abandoned by seeing and their antidotes should be explained. According to this, it is said in the treatise: "Entering and exiting, and the conceptual thoughts of what is grasped, each of them is the nature of nine, the reality is not the nature of purity." Thus it is said. In this regard, first of all, conceptual thoughts can be divided into two, that is, the conceptual thoughts of what is grasped are two. What are conceptual thoughts? Because they conceptually think of the nature of the object as unreal, they are called conceptual thoughts. What are their objects? That is, the direction of entering and the direction of exiting. Each, that is, for both sides. The nature of nine is nine kinds of differences. "Sentient beings are imputed and substantially existent, conceptual thoughts hold them as thoughts, ordinary beings can make noble ones, therefore, each of them is the nature of nine." Thus it is said. The other two are the conceptual thoughts of holding. What are the two? That is, in order, substantially existent and imputed, the conceptual thoughts of sentient beings.
