The practice of abandoning perversion is established by the word "action." Because this is a vast meaning, I will also explain it extensively. How should one train in form and so on? That is, how should one fully understand it properly? The Blessed One said: One should train in form and so on as being merely names. That is, merely names are emptiness. When a name is heard, because one focuses on the object, it is unreasonable for it to be merely a name. And when the object does not exist, that name itself will also disappear. This is what Maitreya said. The Blessed One taught: Maitreya, this which is called "form" and so on, because it is not of a sudden nature. The so-called "object of the characteristic of action," because it is created by cause and condition, is action. Moreover, because this is this, and the characteristic is also this, therefore the separate consciousnesses appear separately, therefore the object is an object. The false is because it has no self-nature. The establishment is by those who make the naming. For "what is the cause of this" and so on were explained. The so-called "non-object" means even if it has been determined that there is no object. The so-called "believe," "understand," and "separately know" are different names. Maitreya, what do you think, and so on, here the second reason is explained. In order to show that it is contradictory, Maitreya Bodhisattva asked the Blessed One: Blessed One, if that is so, and so on. The Blessed One said: For the object of the characteristic of action, in name, concept, establishment, and term, what is called "form," what do you think? Is it the self-nature of form, or merely an establishment? To this, he said: Blessed One, I think it is merely an establishment. That is, even if it has been determined that there is no object, one should understand it that way. The Blessed One said: Then, Maitreya, how do you and so on. Maitreya Bodhisattva said: Blessed One, it is like this and so on. When form is established, when it is merely an establishment, will not the self-nature of merely an establishment become the object of focus?

The Blessed One declared: "That which is merely imputed is without intrinsic nature, because it does not possess arising and ceasing, and so forth." Thus, having negated the intrinsic nature of form and so forth, Maitreya inquired, "What is the Blessed One?" and so forth. The Blessed One said, "Form and so forth exist in the world's conventions and designations, but in ultimate truth, they do not exist." Maitreya reported, "Thus, as I understand the meaning of what the Blessed One has taught, this realm of reality is unspeakable in ultimate truth." "That if" means "if." The meaning of "How is that?" is to ultimately refute. "How does that become ultimate truth?" means, "Blessed One, does ultimate truth exist or not?" Having asked this, the refutation is to report, "That also," and so forth. "If that thing does not exist in ultimate truth, then," "That" means, "at that time, how can the realm of reality, which is unspeakable in ultimate truth, exist? It cannot exist. Because the object of the characteristics of conditioned phenomena should not be called the unspeakable realm of reality, because non-existence itself is without a basis." Even if it is accepted as a basis, it will still be the same, because that is the nature of that, it is the intrinsic nature of that. The Blessed One said, "Therefore, Maitreya, you," and so forth. The meaning is forbearance, desire, and confidence. "The practice of wisdom" means that because of non-discrimination, it is ultimate wisdom. When practicing that, because it is equipoise, it is continuous entry. "That is not" means there is no object. In "That other name also," "That" means nearby. The word "also" indicates that what will be explained is also. "Other name" means other aspect. "Not other" means because dharma and dharmata are inseparable. "Not not other" means that for the wisdom that truly knows dharmata, that does not appear as distinct. With "conditioned phenomena," and so forth, other names are declared, "If it becomes other,"

If it were to become other. Then, the so-called "if so" means "if it is so." The so-called "attaining Nirvana or unsurpassed perfect enlightenment" means that if it becomes other, then it is unrelated to the afflictions that have become real. If it is not other, then its characteristics will also become an object that children cannot grasp, similar to the inexpressible realm of reality. Because even if one grasps the characteristics, one will attain the inexpressible realm of reality, just like practicing the antidote. Maitreya Bodhisattva asked: In the practice of wisdom closely related to the inexpressible realm of reality, if that thing is not an object, then does it not exist or does it exist? The Blessed One replied: In this regard, nothing will become existent or non-existent, but when it becomes conceptualization, it will appear in conceptualization. When it is free from conceptualization, it will not appear, therefore, it is not ultimately existent, because it is not the object of supreme wisdom. It is also not non-existent, because it is a manifestation of conceptualization. The so-called being skilled in distinguishing dharmas means that distinguishing dharmas is the three natures, namely, the dependent arising, the completely imputed, and the perfectly established, which are proclaimed. Here, in order, the color, etc. of the completely imputed, the color, etc. of the conceptual, and the color, etc. of the nature of reality are shown. Among them, because it appears but does not exist, it is the completely imputed. Because it is produced by cause and condition, it is the dependent arising.
