From holding the Prajñāpāramitā to establishing the meaning of its exposition, the accumulation of merit is called immeasurable, countless, and inconceivable, which is the sixth (kind of merit). If someone makes offerings to immeasurable, countless, and inconceivable Tathāgatas in each of the ten directions until the end of their lives with all kinds of offerings such as victory banners, flags, and musical instruments, it is less than someone who extensively explains this (Prajñāpāramitā) to others in various ways, up to the point of correct exposition. The latter's merit increases much more than the former's, because all Buddhas residing in the three times attained enlightenment by learning from this, which is called the seventh (kind of merit). If someone extensively speaks about the six pāramitās to others in a conceptual way for countless eons, up to the point of correct instruction, it is less than someone who, in a non-conceptual way, completely abandons artificiality until the end of their lives. The latter's merit increases more than the former's. The idea of "I give, this is the object of giving, I give to others" is a conceptualization with attachment. The pāramitās with the three circles (giver, object, and recipient) completely purified are non-conceptual, i.e., impermanence, suffering, emptiness, and selflessness, which is called the eighth (kind of merit) of completely abandoning artificiality. If someone places beings as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River in each of the ten directions in the fruit of stream-entry, it is less than someone who extensively speaks about the meaning and words of this (Prajñāpāramitā) to others, up to the point of correct instruction, and from "recite this" to "practice diligently." The latter's merit increases more, because stream-enterers arise from this, which is called reverence and the ninth (kind of merit). Someone placing the beings of Jambudvipa in the fruit of once-returner is called the first praise. Placing them in the fruit of non-returner is called the second praise. If someone places beings in worlds as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River in each of the ten directions in the state of arhatship, it is less than someone who speaks to others about the meaning and words of this (Prajñāpāramitā), up to "practice diligently."
