. Because it transcends equality, it is inequality. Because it transcends measurement, it is immeasurable. Because it transcends counting, it is countless, which is the Buddha. The ultimate of form and so on, and omniscience, is also the same. These four distinctions are greatness, inequality, and equality. What was asked, from "Bhagavan" to the prophecy of "will become a Buddha," therefore, in order, with these four distinctions, there are the four moments of the truth of suffering that are distinguished. "Gathering all the noble ones" means that the one who gathers all the noble dharmas is the Bhagavati, as it is said: "This, from form to all-knowing wisdom, dwells without grasping or manifest attachment." And from "Venerable Subhuti" to "should not be attached, should not be grasped," what was said, with the distinction of gathering all the noble ones, is the first moment of the origin of suffering. The wise say: "Knowable, uncommon knowledge." Among them, what the wise should know and uncommon knowledge. Among them, the first is what is said from "thereafter, acting in desire" to "generating roots of virtue," with the distinction of what the wise's knowledge should know, is the second moment. What is uncommon to the Shravakas and so on is also that, and knowledge is also that, its object is uncommon knowledge. Bhagavan, if what is said from "tolerance gathers" is with the distinction of uncommon knowledge, is the third moment. Knowing quickly, decreasing and without increasing. "Knowing quickly" means that the wisdom of realization is quick, from "sons of the gods" to "widely revealed," with the distinction of the quickness of the wisdom of realization, is the fourth moment of the truth of the origin of suffering. "Decreasing and without increasing" means decreasing and without increasing, from "thereafter, acting in desire" to "growth and decay are also not known," what is said, is with the distinction of without decreasing and without increasing.

This is the first instant of the truth of cessation through wisdom. The so-called "accomplishing and truly accomplishing, etc.," wherein accomplishing refers to the Blessed One and retinue, diligently engaging with faith and so forth, and thereafter engaging with desire and joy. What is said from "Immediately upon hearing, faith arises" is the second instant, distinguished by the difference of accomplishing. Truly accomplishing refers to the fruit, that upon hearing, faith arises, and so forth, those will truly transform into perfect enlightenment. Furthermore, upon hearing this, whatever is laziness, ignorance, and timidity, those are inferior enlightenment. From "Whatever is requested" to "It should be known that one will abide in one of them," is the third instant, distinguished by the difference of truly accomplishing. The so-called "object of focus" refers to, for example, a person whose boat is wrecked in the great ocean, if they grasp a corpse, wood, or planks, etc., that person will not die in the intermediate state but will abide on land. Similarly, whatever the Blessed One engages in, from the perfection of meditative concentration, etc., to all-knowingness, those who do not manifest inferior enlightenment in the intermediate state will manifest perfect enlightenment and become Buddhas. What is said from "Whoever, Subhuti, like this" to "will manifest enlightenment and become a Buddha" is the fourth instant of cessation, distinguished by the difference of the object of focus. The so-called "having a basis" refers to, having a basis is being together with a basis, and for all, the word "having" is a neuter gender marker. The basis of the path is a Bodhisattva, who, through the stages of fully maturing with the perfection of wisdom and skillful means, etc., will manifest perfect enlightenment and will not fall into inferior enlightenment in the intermediate state. For example, if a pot is well-fired and filled with water, and taken home, it will not break and fall to the ground in the intermediate state. What is said from "Subhuti, like this, for example" to "will manifest enlightenment and become a Buddha" is the first instant of the truth of the path, distinguished by the difference of the basis.

Oho! The so-called "all" refers to the collection of differences in the path, such as wisdom and skillful means. Because by this, one can manifest complete enlightenment and become a Buddha, rather than falling into inferior enlightenment in between. For example, a ship entering the ocean, if well repaired and well trained, and sent with favorable wind and water, will reach the desired place, and will not be damaged in the middle. Subhuti, just like for example... everything said from "will not fall into the state of a solitary Buddha" is the difference of all, the second moment. The so-called "completely grasping" means that a Bodhisattva who is completely grasped by the perfection of wisdom and skillful means will surely realize complete enlightenment. For example, just as an old man is supported from the left and right by two strong men, he can reach the place he wants to reach. Subhuti, just like for example... everything said from "will appear as all-knowingness" is the third moment with the difference of complete grasping. The so-called "no taste" means that all the roots of virtue of the Bodhisattva are completely dedicated to the unsurpassed enlightenment, but for the complete enlightenment, from the form to the all-knowingness, there is no distinction, meaning it is difficult to speculate. There is no attachment from form to all-knowingness. When the venerable Subhuti... everything said from "son of good family, all dharmas are empty in nature" is the fourth moment of the truth of the path with the difference of no taste. "The difference is..." and so on, refers to the conclusion showing the meaning of the word difference. Having thus shown the nature of the difference, the nature of the action is to be explained, that is: benefit and happiness and protection, and the refuge of people, place and relatives island, and the complete guide, spontaneous accomplishment and the fruit of the three vehicles, manifest appearance.
