Praising is a defilement, the non-defiled samadhi of the Tathagatas is to go to cities and other places and cut off the stream of defilements of all beings. Furthermore, the intermediate verses on the distinction of knowing the place of aspiration are spoken. The Buddha's knowledge of the place of aspiration is: Spontaneously accomplished and free from attachment, Unobstructed and constant, and willing to answer all questions. That is it. The knowledge of the place of aspiration of the Hearers and others depends on diligence, and attachment to samadhi, is temporary, is occasional, and not all questions can be answered. The knowledge of the place of aspiration of the Buddhas is without characteristics, entering naturally, without distinction between samadhi and non-samadhi, abandoning attachment with objects, completely destroying the aggregates of obscurations together with their habitual tendencies, therefore without obstruction to all knowable things, constantly abiding for the sake of the existence of samsara, and because of having attained perfect individual knowledge, therefore willing to answer questions. Someone may wonder, why do such Tathagatas not constantly benefit sentient beings? In order to answer this question, the intermediate verses are spoken: After the cause has fully matured, To whom and where, When the action becomes beneficial, To them and them appears that form. That is it. After the seeds of virtue previously created, the cause with the Buddhas and others as objects, has fully increased, at that time, to whatever sentient being, at whatever time, in whatever way, performing the activities of teaching the Dharma, etc., can accomplish benefit, at that time, like the appearance of the king of gods, etc., on a ground of vaidurya, by the power of previous aspirations, etc., the Tathagata, that one, etc., appears, and constantly bestows all the necessary meanings like a wish-fulfilling jewel. The example illustrates that even if the conditions are complete, if one's own cause is not complete, it does not arise. Although the king of gods sends down rain, Just as inferior seeds do not grow, Although the Buddhas appear, Those without fortune do not enjoy excellence. Thus it is said. For example, the king of gods, etc., in the sky

Just as a mass of clouds gathers in the sky and a stream of rain as thick as a yoke falls, but sesame and other seeds rot and become unusable, so that good fruit cannot grow from them. Likewise, although those who are skilled in doing things for the benefit of all beings, the very nature of the Tathagata of great compassion, may appear, those who do not have the fortune and have not become vessels will not experience the good fortune of listening to the Dharma and so on. If some fortunate ones occasionally appear in the fields with supports that are definite in their respective meanings, how can they be pervasive and constant? As an answer to this, the intervening verses are spoken: Because of such vast deeds, the Buddha is definitely said to be pervasive. Because that nature is inexhaustible, that nature is also said to be constant. So it is. In the manner described above, its nature is vast in all respects in accomplishing the benefit of others, and it constantly remains in the world as long as samsara is not empty, but the very nature of the meaning accomplished by itself is never exhausted, so it should be declared in order that the Buddha is pervasive and constant. By the power of the nature of the Dharmakaya, the Sambhogakaya is spoken of as teaching the Dharma in accordance with the most excellent beings to be tamed. The verse says: The thirty-two marks and eighty minor marks are the nature of the Enjoyment Body of the Conqueror, for the sake of enjoying the Great Vehicle. So it is. The very nature of the perfect Rupakaya, blazing with the thirty-two marks and eighty minor marks, is the Sambhogakaya of the Buddha Bhagavan, because it is to enjoy the joy and happiness of the enjoyment of the Dharma of the Great Vehicle without any fault, together with the great Bodhisattvas who have entered the ten bhumis. So what are the thirty-two marks? The intervening verses are spoken: Hands and feet have wheel marks, turtle-like feet, fingers and toes are connected by webs, hands and feet are soft and have tender skin, this body has seven high places, fingers are long, heels are wide, and the body is large and upright.
