Chapter Eight: Explanation of the Dharmakaya of Perfect Enlightenment. Chapter Eight: Explanation of the Dharmakaya of Perfect Enlightenment. Now, what is the complete maturation of the result of realizations, which is the Dharmakaya, will be explained. Therefore, it is well distinguished by the four Kayas and their activities. First, the Svabhavikakaya, which is naturally self-accomplished, utterly pure, and possesses all qualities, is spoken of. As it is said: "The Svabhavikakaya of the Sage, What is the undefiled Dharma, Having attained all completely pure, Those are characterized by nature." The Svabhavikakaya of the Sage, the Buddha, the Bhagavan, is the essence of supreme wisdom. By the very nature of the Dharmadhatu, which transcends the world, all undefiled Dharmas are attained. Since defilements are adventitious, it is completely pure in every way. By the meaning of being unconditioned, it is naturally empty. It is characterized by abiding in its own nature. The Dharmakaya, which is inseparable from that, the essence of undefiled nature, is spoken of. As it is said: "The aspects of enlightenment, immeasurable, etc., Liberation and gradual, etc., The nature of the nine successive absorptions, The nature of the ten all-pervading spheres, etc., The spheres of dominance by excellent division, Eight kinds, and the absence of affliction and knowledge of wishes, And the separate and correct knowledge of clairvoyance, The four kinds of all purity, The ten powers and the ten strengths, The four fearlessnesses are utterly pure, The three protections and the three mindfulnesses, The Dharma nature of not forgetting, The complete destruction of habitual tendencies, etc., Great compassion for beings, The eighteen unshared Dharmas unique to the Sage, What is said to be, and all-knowingness, etc., Is said to be the Dharmakaya." Among these, what are the thirty-seven Dharmas that are in accordance with the aspects of enlightenment? They are the four mindfulnesses on the body, feelings, mind, and phenomena, and the abandonment and non-arising, in order, of unwholesome and wholesome things that have arisen and have not arisen, and the four kinds of complete abandonment by another entity, and aspiration.
