Just as it is impossible to divide a dust particle, there are no other characteristics to establish. However, it should be taught that one should cultivate the nature of dependent arising as the antidote to be abandoned. By this alone, it will be certain that all meanings will be perfectly fulfilled. So, what are the twenty mentioned in the context of the Sangha Jewel? Two intermediate verses were spoken: 'Dull and sharp faculties, faith and sight-attained, from kind to kind. One interruption, born in between, acting and non-acting, Akanishtha. Exceeding the three, reaching the peak of existence. Seeing the destruction of the body of form. Manifesting peace in the Dharma. Rhinoceros and twenty.' This is what is said. Briefly, entering through the difference of faculties, those who come here not having practiced well, followers of faith, with dull faculties; those who come here having practiced well, followers of Dharma, with sharp faculties; not skilled in means, being born in long-lived gods and so on, admiring with faith; skilled in means, not being born by the power of meditation and so on, attained by sight; by the difference of the first fruit, possessing qualities such as meditation, being born through the lineage of kings and Brahmins and so on, being born from human kind to kind; similarly, being born through the gods of the desire realm, being born from heavenly kind to kind; by the difference of the second fruit, possessing qualities such as the extremely pure four meditations, separated by one lifetime, one interruption; by the difference of the third fruit, becoming enlightened in the pure realms of the form realm, manifesting from there and manifesting enlightenment, passing into nirvana in the intermediate state; being born in this Jambudvipa, becoming enlightened by practicing the correct path, passing into nirvana after birth; blazing with diligence, becoming complete with the intense power of manifest effort, passing into nirvana with effort; initially generating the mind, transcending faults, manifesting enlightenment in other ways, passing into nirvana without effort; with the basis of desire, the meaning

Having created and been born autonomously in the realm of form, and having perfectly accomplished, going to Akanistha; having cultivated the first dhyana, and then manifestly attaining enlightenment in Akanistha, is the surpassing one. Being born in the pure abodes, etc., being born between and including Akanistha and passing into nirvana, is the half-surpassing one. From the Brahma realm to Akanistha, gradually being born and becoming enlightened, is the one who transfers death in all places. From the Brahma realm to the peak of existence, excluding the fourth dhyana, being born is the one who goes to the extreme end of existence. From the first birth place to the peak of existence, traveling and becoming a Buddha is the one who has destroyed desire for form. Having perfectly accumulated the collections, manifestly becoming enlightened by that alone, and passing into nirvana in this very life. Relying solely on the samadhi of sudden transcendence and attaining enlightenment, is the one who makes peace manifest in the body. In fields without Buddhas, etc., having completely cultivated profound wisdom and manifestly attaining enlightenment, is like the rhinoceros horn. Thus, whatever is taught, by diligently listening, from this arises the limb of the determination division, therefore wishing to explain that, hence briefly explaining the superior Dharma. "Object and also aspect, cause and also that which encompasses, By protecting Bodhisattvas, warmth and so forth, their nature as is, Four kinds of conceptual thought, possessing and attending, Small, medium, and great ones, Shravakas, rhinoceros horn-like, and those with vows, are superior in difference." Thus it is said, the very generation of the mind of the Bodhisattvas, and the very perfection of the training, by perfecting listening, etc., to the extreme, obtaining roots of virtue such as faith that are in accordance with the part of liberation, after that, arising from worldly meditation, that which is in accordance with the part of determination, like this: not focusing on that which is taken by all afflictions, becoming the warmth stage; after that, not focusing on that which is taken by complete purification itself, becoming the peak stage; after that, not focusing on the clinging to the person himself, becoming the forbearance stage; after that, not focusing on the clinging to the individual himself, the so-called 'supreme Dharma of the world' arises. Either the small ones, etc., arise in sequence, or the difference of dull faculties, etc.
