Without distinction between dwelling together and not dwelling together, having abandoned attachment with dependence, having completely destroyed the aggregates of obscurations together with their predispositions, being unimpeded in all objects of knowledge, abiding constantly for as long as samsara exists, and having attained the perfection of individual correct knowledge, they answer questions. One might wonder, why do such Tathagatas not constantly benefit sentient beings? To answer this doubt, the intermediate verses state: When the cause has fully ripened, to whom and where, when action is beneficial, to them and there it appears. This means that when the seeds of virtue previously generated, the cause directed towards the Buddhas and so forth, have fully matured, then to whichever sentient being, at whatever time, whatever teaching is given, etc., if doing so would be beneficial, then at that time, just as the lord of the gods appears on a ground of lapis lazuli, due to the power of previous aspirations and so forth, the Tathagata will appear to them and so forth, like a wish-fulfilling jewel, bestowing all things that are needed at all times. An example is given to illustrate that even if the conditions are complete, if one's own cause is not complete, the result will not arise: Even if the king of gods sends down rain, bad seeds do not sprout. Even if the Buddhas have appeared, those without fortune do not enjoy the good. Thus it is said. For example, even if the king of the gods and others gather clouds in the sky and send down a stream of rain as thick as a yoke, but because the seeds of sesame and so forth have rotted and become bad, good fruit will not arise from them. Similarly, even though the Tathagatas, who are the embodiment of great compassion, are skilled in benefiting all beings, those who do not have the fortune and have not become vessels will not be able to experience the good fortune of listening to the Dharma and so forth. If some fortunate ones appear in fields with specific meanings at certain times, how can it be said that they are pervasive and constant? To answer this question, the intermediate verses are spoken: Because such action is vast, it is said that the Buddha dwells pervasively. That is, exhaust

Because there is no end, it is also said to be constant. This is how it is said. As previously stated, one accomplishes the benefit of others in all ways, because it is vast, and one constantly abides in samsara, even as long as samsara exists, for the nature of the meaning that you accomplish, there is never any exhaustion, therefore, in order, it should be clearly stated that the Buddha is pervasive and constant. By the power of the nature of the Dharmakaya, the Sambhogakaya is said to teach the Dharma that is in accordance with the most tamed disciples: the thirty-two marks and eighty minor marks, for the sake of the enjoyment of the Great Vehicle, are considered to be the Sambhogakaya of the Sage. This is how it is said. The perfect nature of the Rupakaya, shining with the thirty-two marks and eighty minor marks, is for the sake of enjoying the joy and happiness of the enjoyment of the Dharma of the Great Vehicle without hindrance, together with the great Bodhisattvas who have entered the ten bhumis, is the Sambhogakaya of the Buddha Bhagavan. So, what are the thirty-two marks? In the middle, the verses are spoken: The hands and feet have wheel marks, the feet are like turtles, the fingers of the hands and feet are connected by webs, the hands and feet are soft and have the appearance of childhood. This body has seven high places, long fingers, wide heels, tall and upright body, ankles not visible, hair growing upwards, legs like antelopes, long and beautiful arms, secret places deeply sunken inside, the skin is golden, the skin is thin, the hair grows one by one to the right, the face is adorned with a white hair, the upper body is like a lion, this person's shoulders are round, the collarbones are full, for this person, even if there is no delicious food, it appears as the most delicious, the body is as wide as a banyan tree, the top of the head has a protuberance, the tongue is long and beautiful, the voice is like Brahma, the cheeks are like a lion, the teeth are very white, even in size, neatly arranged, the number is forty complete, the eyes are dark blue, the eyelashes are like a bull king. These are the thirty-two marks. For this, with what mark, what is accomplished, that and that are completely perfect.
