Also. Just as bad seeds do not grow, even though the Buddhas have appeared, those without merit cannot enjoy the good. This is easy to understand. So, the complete enjoyment body, which is the place of all qualities, is the Buddha himself. However, if it is itself a material thing, and therefore singular, and is of the nature of a momentary continuum, then how can it be said to be all-pervasive and constant? To this thought, it is said: Because his activity is vast, the Buddha is definitely said to be all-pervasive. Because he himself is inexhaustible, he is also called constant. Just as a king, although singular, is said to pervade as far as there are places in the country where affairs are carried out according to the king's command. Similarly, the Bhagavan pervades as far as the realm of space extends, with the activity of teaching the Dharma to sentient beings through manifestations. Just as the Ganges River flows continuously, it is called constant. Similarly, the Bhagavan is also called constant because he continuously abides in the palace of the Dense Array Pure Land of Akanishta, as the nature of the complete enjoyment body. The Dharmakaya is different from the Tathagata, and therefore it is said to be a collection of precious qualities of mind that are related to fabrication and are completely imagined. After explicitly stating the qualities of mind that are the Dharma, in order to show the complete enjoyment body, such as the material, which is the subject of the Dharma, the Buddha said: The thirty-two marks, and the eighty minor marks, are considered to be the complete enjoyment body of the Sage, for the sake of the enjoyment of the Great Vehicle. So, what is enjoyed? The Buddha said: For the sake of the enjoyment of the Great Vehicle. This means to understand through listening to the Dharma of the Great Vehicle and so on. It is called the complete enjoyment body so that the lords of the ten bhumis can enjoy the Great Vehicle. In the treatises of the Great Vehicle, if it is said that the complete enjoyment body is the lord of the material form body, then that is a great mistake. Because to perceive it as material itself is the imagination of the ignorant.
