If one desires to listen, or does not desire to listen, or desires both, then according to the order, one becomes attached to the former, or becomes angry with the latter, or is free from both. Thus, the Bhagavan abiding with mindfulness is the three kinds of mindfulness. "The nature of not forgetting": It means that the characteristic of not exceeding the time of benefiting sentient beings is the nature of not forgetting. "Habits completely destroyed": It means that the habits of afflictive obscurations and cognitive obscurations are completely destroyed. "Great compassion for beings": It means wanting to remove the suffering of all sentient beings and the causes of that suffering. "The unique Dharma of the Sage, what are the eighteen explained": It means that the body has no confusion, the speech has no idle talk, there is no loss of mindfulness, there is no non-equanimity, there are no various discriminations, there is no abandonment of equanimity for various numbers, there is no complete loss of intention, there is no complete loss of diligence, there is no complete loss of mindfulness, there is no complete loss of samadhi, there is no complete loss of wisdom, there is no complete loss of liberation, wisdom precedes the actions of the body, wisdom precedes the actions of speech, wisdom precedes the actions of mind, wisdom without attachment and obstruction to the past, wisdom without attachment and obstruction to the future, wisdom without attachment and obstruction to the present, these are called the eighteen unshared Dharmas of the Buddha. "All-knowingness": It means the realization of the nature of all-knowingness as it is proclaimed. Thus, for the Tathagata Dharma, it is manifested as the essence of Dharma, and the differences made by the opposite are completely observed, which are the qualities of the Tathagata's mind. In order to show the difference between the samadhi without afflictions of the Buddha and the samadhi without afflictions of the Shravakas, etc., through the means of the fruit, it is said: The Shravaka's view without afflictions, the afflictions of humans are completely abandoned, Victorious One's city, etc.

These and so on. Cutting off the stream of afflictions, without afflictions. (This means) without afflictions, is the absence of afflictions, and whichever samadhi is without afflictions, that is a distinction of the samadhi without afflictions. If the Shravakas, whichever Shravaka enters the samadhi without afflictions, if those Shravakas see people, the afflictions of people will not arise and be born. The Tathagata, by entering the samadhi without afflictions, whether seeing or not seeing, can cut off the stream of afflictions of sentient beings in cities and so on, this is the distinction. In order to show that the Buddha's wisdom born from aspiration surpasses the wisdom born from aspiration of the Shravakas and others, it is said: The Buddha's wisdom born from aspiration is spontaneously accomplished and free from attachment, unobstructed and permanent, and willing to answer all questions. (This means) The Buddha's wisdom born from aspiration is spontaneously accomplished because there is no conceptualization. Free from attachment is because there is no dependence. Unobstructed is because there is no obstruction in all places. Permanent is because it universally exists until Samsara is empty. Willing to answer all questions is because of hearing the four individual correct knowledges. The Shravakas and others are the opposite of these. Then, having the ability to constantly benefit beings, being the complete enjoyment body nature of all qualities, the Tathagata is universally present, but why does he not constantly benefit beings? In order to answer this question, it is said: After the cause has completely matured, to whom, when, and what, at that time the action is beneficial, to that one, in that place, it appears. (This means) The cause is the roots of virtue previously accumulated. Completely matured is transformed. To whichever sentient being at whichever time, the action of teaching the Dharma and so on will be beneficial later, therefore, whoever does that, is called the Tathagata, because of abiding in teaching the Dharma and so on. In order to show an example that is consistent with these, it is said: The King of Gods rains.
