Explanation of the Eighth Chapter Explanation of the Eighth Chapter The manifestation of the eighth Abhisamaya is declared. The essence of the self-nature complete and so on, likewise the other emanation, the Dharmakaya is included in the activity, the four aspects are truly spoken. The meaning of this is as follows: By the term Dharmakaya, the Abhisamaya of the Dharmakaya should be explained and subsequently grasped. Thus, the Svabhavikakaya, the Sambhogakaya, and the activities of the three Kayas, which are the actions of benefiting beings, are completely grasped in four aspects. For example, just as promising sixteen sons, but the number is insufficient, so the grandson is shown, just as it is supplemented by the number, the promise of the four Kayas with the summarizing words is self-satisfying, it is the place of compassion. In other vehicles, the establishment of four Kayas and five Kayas is the view of other vehicles. And this is the Paramitayana. Therefore, in this Paramitayana, the collections of qualities such as the Bodhipaksa are the Sambhogakaya aspect, so it is established as the three Kayas. Otherwise, the relics of the Bhagavan and so on would also be considered as separate Kayas, which is unreasonable. Therefore, it is reasonable to explain the three Kayas. Among these, in order to show the Svabhavikakaya, it is said: The Svabhavikakaya of the Sage, in all the undefiled Dharmas, whatever is completely pure, those are characterized by nature. It means, what is Dharma? It is the Sambhogakaya, and the collection of qualities of the mind that it relies on, the Nirmanakaya, and the characteristics and objects of their activities, the four aspects. Whatever is completely pure in all aspects, without exhaustion, the nature of those Dharmas is completely pure, that is, emptiness, free from the grasper and the grasped. That is the Svabhavikakaya of the Buddhas, the Bhagavat. The Sambhogakaya and the Nirmanakaya, and their activities, are not completely impure or without defilements, because: In all the undefiled Dharmas, whatever is completely pure is true. These words should be truly grasped. In this regard, the difference should be understood in this way by reversing it.

The self-nature of emptiness that has been completely examined by (someone) should be realized as the self-nature body. What is Dharma? It is the aspect of enlightenment, perfect enjoyment, incarnation, and the characteristics of their activities. In order to show in order how their self-nature should be realized as the self-nature body, it is said, "Enlightenment," and so on. The aspect of enlightenment is the four mindfulnesses: mindfulness of body, mindfulness of feeling, mindfulness of mind, and mindfulness of phenomena. The effort to prevent unwholesome dharmas that have not arisen from arising, the effort to abandon unwholesome dharmas that have arisen, the effort to generate wholesome dharmas that have not arisen, and the effort to increase wholesome dharmas that have arisen, are the four right exertions. Desire concentration, effort concentration, mind concentration, and contemplation concentration are the four legs of miraculous power. Faith faculty, effort faculty, mindfulness faculty, concentration faculty, and wisdom faculty are the faculties. These themselves cannot be suppressed by opposing factors, so they become powers: faith power, effort power, mindfulness power, concentration power, and wisdom power are the five powers. Mindfulness right enlightenment branch, discrimination of Dharma right enlightenment branch, effort right enlightenment branch, joy right enlightenment branch, tranquility right enlightenment branch, concentration right enlightenment branch, and equanimity right enlightenment branch are the seven branches. Right view, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right concentration are the eightfold noble path, which are the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment. Immeasurable means immeasurable.

Furthermore, with sentient beings as the object, loving-kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity are the four immeasurables. Liberation refers to the internal form perception being aware of external forms as one. The absence of characteristics in internal forms, while observing external forms, is the second. The impure liberation, realized and abiding in the body, is the third. The four formless realms and the cessation of perception and feeling are the eight liberations. The nine sequential abidings in meditative absorption refer to the four dhyanas, the four formless realms, and the cessation of perception and feeling, which are the nine sequential abidings in meditative absorption. The nature of the ten kasinas refers to the birthplace of kasinas, namely the kasina of earth, kasina of water, kasina of fire, kasina of wind, kasina of blue, kasina of yellow, kasina of red, kasina of white, kasina of space, and kasina of consciousness, which are the ten kasinas. The spheres of mastery, with eight aspects through excellent differentiation, refer to perceiving internal form as having characteristics, while viewing external forms as those with a condensed pride, knowing their mastery is external, being one. Perceiving internal form as having characteristics, while viewing external forms as expansive, knowing their mastery is the second. Perceiving internal form as formless, while viewing external forms as condensed, knowing their mastery is the third. Perceiving internal form as formless, while viewing external forms as expansive, knowing their mastery is the fourth. Perceiving internal form as having characteristics, while viewing external forms as blue, is the fifth. Likewise, seeing yellow is the sixth. Seeing red is the seventh. Seeing white is the eighth, which are the eight aspects of the spheres of mastery. "Without affliction" refers to the samadhi called "without affliction." Having entered into the samadhi of which, even relying on the continuum of others, one will not transform into various afflictions. "Knowing through aspiration" refers to being definitively liberated from all doubts and eliminating all uncertainties.
