English

"Non-attention" refers to the conceptualization of not attending to perfect enlightenment. "Meditation" refers to the conceptualization of meditation. "Non-meditation" refers to the conceptualization of non-meditation. "The opposite of these" refers to the conceptualization of neither meditation nor non-meditation. "Not in accordance with reality" refers to the conceptualization of not being in accordance with reality due to the very nature of having no object. This is the second set of nine of the apprehended conceptualizations. Regarding how the first of the apprehending conceptualizations becomes ninefold, it is said: "Having the sphere of activity of imputing sentient beings, imputing phenomena and non-emptiness, attachment and the nature of differentiation, acting upon things, and the three vehicles, offerings are not pure, in various confused behaviors, acting as the apprehending one, that is the first, it is declared to be what should be known." This means, "Having the sphere of activity of imputing sentient beings," because sentient beings are not established as real, sentient beings are the conceptualization of imputation. "Imputing phenomena" refers to the aggregates and other phenomena, because these are not established as real, phenomena are imputed, this is called the conceptualization of imputing phenomena. "Non-emptiness" refers to not completely abandoning the imputed phenomena from samsara onwards, therefore it is the conceptualization of non-emptiness. "Attachment" refers to the fact that although the apprehended and the apprehender do not exist, there is a cause for the thought of the apprehended and the apprehender appearing separately, so it is the conceptualization of attachment. "The nature of differentiation" refers to the conceptualization of differentiating phenomena, from "This is form" up to "This is the all-knowing one." "Acting upon things," in "things" refers to form and so on. "Acting" refers to uniting with the Bhagavati-mother for the sake of things such as form, that is, conceptualizing for the sake of things. "And the three vehicles" refers to the three vehicles that abide in the conceptualization of certainty, that is, conceptualizing in the three vehicles. "Offerings are not pure" refers to if the Tathagatas are like emanations, then how can offering to them become pure, this is the conceptualization of offerings not being pure.
