The nature of the sixteen moments is the path of seeing that accomplishes omniscience. In order to show these sixteen moments in order, it is said: Form is neither permanent nor impermanent, beyond extremes and pure, unborn, unceasing, like space, abandoning attachment, liberated from grasping, the inexpressible nature of reality, why is this meaning expressed, it cannot be given to others, it acts without an object, extremely pure, no disease arises, the lower realms are cut off and the result is to be realized, without conceptualization, pure signs and unrelated, for things and names and both, there is no arising of awareness, this is the moment of omniscience. Among them, "Form is neither permanent nor impermanent" means that form and so on up to the ultimate of all-knowing, because of its naturally luminous and without any nature to be examined, it is not permanent and also not impermanent, this is the forbearance of knowing the Dharma of suffering. "Beyond extremes" means that because it is free from examination, it transcends the two extremes of permanence and annihilation, this is the knowledge of the Dharma of suffering. "Pure" means that form and so on are naturally completely pure, this is the forbearance of subsequent knowledge of suffering. "Unborn, unceasing, etc." means that form and so on up to the ultimate of all-knowing, are unborn and unceasing, without pervasive afflictions, and without purification, this is the subsequent knowledge of suffering. "Like space" means that form and so on up to the ultimate of all-knowing, are liberated from all the elaborations of imputation because of their luminosity, this is the forbearance of knowing the Dharma of the origin. "Abandoning attachment" means that form and so on are naturally completely pure, like the sky without any contamination, this is the subsequent knowledge of the origin. "Liberated from grasping" means that form and so on are like the sky, without a grasper or a grasped, this is the forbearance of subsequent knowledge of the origin. "The inexpressible nature of reality" means that form and so on are inexpressible because they appear without conceptualization by their own nature.

That is, without what is to be said and what can be said, this is the subsequent knowledge of the origin. Connecting "saying" and "liberation," the causes of what is to be said and what can be said, form and so on are liberation. Regarding "if," what is said is that because the cause of saying cannot obtain others, therefore form and so on cannot be said and are not causes, this is the forbearance of knowing the Dharma of cessation. "Not making an object" means that form and so on do not make the nature of an object, this is knowing the Dharma of cessation. "Extremely pure" means form and so on, because their nature has not even a trace of defilement, therefore they are extremely pure, this is the forbearance of subsequent knowledge of cessation. "No disease arises" means that form and so on are extremely pure, so diseases and so on will not arise, this is the subsequent knowledge of cessation. "The cutting off of bad destinies" means that the cutting off of bad destinies is transcendence of bad destinies, because faith arises in the extreme purity of form and so on, therefore bad destinies are cut off, this is the forbearance of knowing the Dharma of the path. "Non-discrimination" means that the discrimination of the arising and ceasing of all phenomena is exhausted, although this is so, because faith arises in the extreme purity of form and so on, therefore this is knowing the Dharma of the path. "Manifesting the fruit" and "not connected with signs" means that in order to manifest the fruits of the Buddhas and so on, completely abandoning the causal signs of discrimination, this is the forbearance of subsequent knowledge of the path. "Things and names and the two," regarding "knowledge does not arise," "things" are what is to be said, the things of meaning. "Names" are what can be said, that is, words. "The two" are what is grasped and what grasps. "Knowledge" means that by what is the meaning of what is said known, it does not arise in ultimate truth. The conjunction "and" is جمع, what is to be said and what can be said, and what is grasped and what grasps, etc., also do not arise, this is the subsequent knowledge of the path, and the moment of omniscience. These are all of the Bodhisattva, these are the ten moments of the nature of the path of seeing.
