Oṃ. It is considered that acting gradually is due to the nature of non-reality. That is to say, generosity, ethics, patience, diligence, meditative concentration, and the perfections of wisdom, etc., as well as the Buddha, Dharma, Sangha, discipline, giving, recollection of the gods, and all the investigated phenomena not being established, etc., refer to the gradual actualization of these thirteen things. Commentary on the Ornament of Clear Realization - The Renowned Part, Commentary on the Sixth Chapter. Commentary on the Seventh Chapter Immediately following the gradual actualization, enlightenment is manifested in a single moment. There are also four aspects to this: all uncontaminated dharmas are manifested and enlightened in a single moment, all white dharmas are manifested and enlightened in a single moment, all signless dharmas are manifested and enlightened in a single moment, and all non-dual dharmas are manifested and enlightened in a single moment. To initially realize these, it is said: Generosity, etc., each, because they gather all uncontaminated dharmas, this realization of the Sage in a single moment should be known. This means that all uncontaminated dharmas refer to the Buddha's uncontaminated dharmas, the perfections of generosity, etc., as well as the signs and examples, etc., and the ultimate of the activities of emanation. Among these, each of generosity, etc., also completely gathers these uncontaminated dharmas, and with one mind of generosity, etc., in a single moment, all other uncontaminated dharmas are also realized, therefore it is called all uncontaminated dharmas being manifested and enlightened in a single moment. This is only of the Sage, not of the Hearers, etc. A Bodhisattva is spoken of in the stage of the path. When one uncontaminated dharma is known, how are all uncontaminated dharmas known? In order to realize this through a worldly example, it is said: Just as a person connects a series of water buckets, when one mechanism is moved, all move simultaneously, likewise is the wisdom of a moment.

Thus it is said. For example, if a person moves one handle of a water bucket with one method, then all the water buckets will move at the same time. Likewise, in the moment of a single mind of generosity and so on, all uncontaminated dharmas will arise swiftly, and by the power of previous habituation, all will be realized at the same time. Second, it is said for the sake of teaching: When the nature of all white dharmas, is the perfection of wisdom, born from the state of the nature of ripening, at that time, one instant of wisdom. Thus it is said. The nature of ripening is said to be spontaneously accomplished and abiding, which is the state of the nature of ripening. How is the nature of all white dharmas, like a son? The nature of all white dharmas should be the perfection of wisdom. Thus, generating wisdom, with one instant of wisdom, one truly realizes all white dharmas. Third, it is said for the sake of teaching: By practices such as generosity, all dharmas abide like a dream, the nature of dharmas is without characteristics, one instant can realize it. Thus it is said. Dharmas, refers to forms and so on. Their characteristics, refers to the nature of forms being obstructive and so on, which is non-existent. One instant can realize it, refers to the meaning of obtaining direct realization. Fourth, it is said for the sake of realization: Like a dream and the one who sees the dream, not seeing in the manner of two, the nature of dharmas being non-dual, that nature can be seen in one instant. Thus it is said. In the state of sleep, the objects that are obtained are the nature of individual awareness. Although there is no object to be grasped, one considers trees, mountains, oceans, and so on as objects to be grasped, appearing like the form of the consciousness of the space element. The so-called dream seer refers to the person who sees the dream, who is the nature of a clear mind, although there is no grasper, one considers it as a grasper, like the wheel of the foot and so on. Second, this is established by falsehood, not observing the difference between the grasper and the grasped, therefore the dharma.

whose form is like an image, and the nature of the uninterrupted stream of self-luminous mind that is non-dual. Non-dual means that it is the characteristic of being definitely liberated from the apprehended and the apprehender, etc., that are examined; it is seen in a single instant. In a single instant, there are four aspects of manifest enlightenment. This concludes the seventh chapter of the commentary on the Ornament of Clear Realization, called "Part of Fame." Commentary on the Eighth Chapter The eighth clear realization, the manifest display, is spoken of. The essence, the enjoyment of the complete, and, likewise, the other, the emanation, are the body of dharma, together with the activity; these are truly spoken of as the four aspects. The meaning of this is as follows: By the term "dharmakaya," the clear realization of the dharmakaya, which is to be explained, should be taken up. By this is meant the essential body, the enjoyment body, and the activities of the three bodies, together with the activity of benefiting beings, so it is completely taken up in four aspects. For example, if one promises sixteen sons, but the number is not complete, then one shows the grandson. Just as one takes by number, so too, with the words of brief indication, the promise of the four bodies is something to be pleased with; it is the place of compassion. In other vehicles, the establishment of four bodies and five bodies is the custom of other vehicles, but this is the Paramita Vehicle. Therefore, in this Paramita Vehicle, the collections of qualities such as the aspects of enlightenment are the aspects of perfect enjoyment, so it is established as the three bodies. Otherwise, the relics of the Bhagavan and so forth would also be established as separate bodies, so it is reasonable to speak of the three bodies. Of these, in order to show the essential body, it is said: The essential body of the Sage is that which is completely pure in all ways, the flawless Dharma; those are the characteristics of their own nature. What is meant by "what Dharma" is the enjoyment body, and the collections of qualities of the mind that rely on it, and the emanation body, and the characteristics and entities of their activities, the four aspects. Whatever is completely pure in all ways, without exhaustion, that which is the nature of those Dharmas, is completely pure, it is emptiness, devoid of the apprehended and the apprehender that are examined.
