This is because it shows the way of completely transcending sorrow by transcending sorrow through hearing, and so on. These, if included in the lineage of the Buddha, should be expressed as the form of Dharmakaya wisdom, which is its meaning. The function of these is to ripen sentient beings in times when Buddhas do not appear, and to prophesy to those who believe in the Lesser Vehicle that they will become Shravakas, and so on, thereby leading them into the Great Vehicle, and so on, which should be applied appropriately according to the circumstances. These are the individual activities of these Dharmas. The nature of these Dharmas can be understood through the words of the Sutras. Slightly, through the liberations, one first begins to completely subdue the mind, and then through the overcoming birth places, one subdues it well, and after that, through the exhaustion birth places, one should know that it has been completely accomplished. Therefore, in the previous chapter on "Aspects," it is understood that the eight liberations are mainly mentioned in the Bodhisattva path, and the rest are included. By means of the ten kinds of mastery, by blessing the measure of life for inexpressible eons, one gains mastery over life; one establishes certainty in countless samadhis, and gains mastery over mind through the manner of entering into wisdom; by showing the manner of blessing with various decorations in all realms of the world, one gains mastery over resources; by blessing the maturation of karma as it is, one gains mastery over karma; by showing birth in all realms of the world, one gains mastery over birth; by seeing all realms of the world filled with Buddhas, one gains mastery over aspiration; by manifesting enlightenment wherever and whenever one desires, one gains mastery over aspiration; by completely showing all miraculous transformations, one gains mastery over miracles; by truly showing endless and boundless Dharma doors, one gains mastery over Dharma; by completely showing the ten powers and four fearlessnesses of the Tathagata moment by moment, one gains mastery over wisdom. These are the words from the "Arya Tree Ornament Sutra," which are quoted here. It is said that "manifesting the Dharmakaya" is what is called manifesting desire.

The first is the tenet of masters such as Yeshe Zla-wa, who teach that the two, the essence body and the dharma body, are considered one and are not to be distinguished as two. Others say that one should engage in verses, which is a summary and repetition of what the master himself previously stated. This is the view of Khenpo Yangdak Nampar Nangdze. Others say that according to them, and so on, this third teaching thinks, 'If the essence body and the dharma body are dharma and possessor of dharma, and if they are also inseparable, then in all ways, since their essence is free from elaboration, the mind and mental factors are completely transformed wisdom, the apprehended and the apprehender are non-dual, and the activities of benefiting beings with an illusory essence will cease. If those exist, then the essence body will also cease. Therefore, the essence body is not spoken of.' Thinking this, they establish the wisdom body, the enjoyment body, and the emanation body as three bodies, and they say that all of these are unborn in ultimate truth. But how could that which is unborn be established as one body? Some say that there are only three bodies. This is the fourth manifested view, which holds that there are only three bodies, namely the essence body, the enjoyment body, and the emanation body. They consider the dharma body to be a synonym for the essence body. Therefore, the Buddha considers Samantabhadra to be like the sphere of dharma, merely the self-luminous light of wisdom essence. Due to the power of previous aspirations, the appearance of possessing qualities such as the aids to enlightenment and immeasurables arises for those to be tamed, but the nature is not like that. Therefore, the appearance of that is the enjoyment body, and the urging is also manifested by the power of the force of his previous aspirations. In reality, for the Great Sage, there is only one body. As it says in the chapter of the Noble One Who Has Gone Beyond the World, 'The Victor has understood that the nature of reality is without a body, utterly peaceful, non-dual, and without self-nature. The form body...'
