Explanation of the Eighth Chapter Explanation of the Eighth Chapter Thus, having completely perfected the causal stage of those seven chapters, now, in order to show that the chapter is the nature of the fruit of the fruit, it is said, "Meditating on the single moment of perfect enlightenment, the second moment," and so on. The so-called "because it is fourfold" refers to the Essence, Dharma, Complete Enjoyment, and Emanation bodies. Some say, "The Acharya has revealed the three bodies in other treatises, so he thinks that way. But this is because Khenpo Yangdak Nampar Nangdze (ཡང་དག་རྣམ་པར་སྣང་མཛད།) mainly focuses on oral instructions, so it is a record of his views." They say that, but since there is no refutation of the way in which the number of bodies is definitely shown to be different below, there is nothing certain about that. The Acharya has said that even if a body image is placed, it is considered faultless, which is clear. The so-called "first" refers to the first in number, or the object of the supreme meaning, previously in the manner shown when showing the greatness of the nature of the Perfection of Wisdom. The so-called "Essence Body" means that this is both Essence and Body, so it is the "Essence Body," a collection of the same basis. Among them, Essence refers to the Dharma nature of those who have Dharma, special ones, etc., which is called Essence here. Those who have Dharma, special ones, etc., refer to the mindfulness of Samantabhadra in the Buddha-field, and so on. The special Dharma nature of those is the ultimate truth, for which there is no object of mind, let alone letters, etc. Therefore, "Suchness, extremely pure and extremely impure," means that it is not established from the perspective of those who have Dharma, and others cannot establish it at all. It was previously said that "those who have Dharma and their Dharma nature are also inexpressible as this or that." The explanation of "the nature of those" is "the nature of those is the Essence." The explanation of "having characteristics" is "this is the unborn Essence," which is a characteristic.
