That which is called "is" refers to the nature of apprehending as different with the mind some characteristics of phenomena that are not different from that nature. Here, the characteristic of phenomena that are not different is considered to be unborn. Therefore, nature and its characteristic are unborn, and what is not other than that is merely designated as what can be expressed by the mind and as the means of expression. As for "by means of the meaning of not artificial," "co-emergent with nature" and "not artificial" are synonyms. Therefore, it is shown that the nature of phenomena is such by its very nature, and it is not made by anyone; this third point should be regarded as a reason. "Obtained by the path beyond the world" means that the knowledge of meditative equipoise, such as the Very Joyful Ground, without the movement of mind, is the attainment, because it becomes inseparable from it. Obtaining from its aftermath is also called obtaining because it is inseparable from its influence. Showing that it is obtained by the path beyond the world means that it is obtained by realizing all phenomena with consciousness like an illusion. Consciousness refers to the wisdom of hearing, contemplation, and meditation. Even though it does not exist ultimately, it does not abandon its function in conventional truth, so it is said to be "like an illusion." All phenomena are the realm of phenomena, because it is said, "Apart from the realm of phenomena, there is no such phenomenon." Obtaining is as before. Furthermore, obtaining the nature body is like the sutra says, "The water element, gold, and space, just as they are pure, so it is desired to be pure." Therefore, obtaining is established through the means of separation, like the example of obtaining freedom from illness. The subject, non-discriminating wisdom, is established as being obtained by subsequent wisdom, and this can only be established in this way and cannot be done in any other way. This is also the way to prove it through yogic direct perception. The subject, all those who know conventional truths, are established by self-awareness direct perception. That itself is also established by inference and present awareness, and that also obtains its connection from present awareness. Their

Because the connection with causes is the very reason why causes produce effects, and effects are the reason for dependence. Doubts about their very nature are dispelled by the reason of the nature of reality. Therefore, the way to ascertain the Buddha's realm is to establish it with all four reasons. Others say, "This is established by scripture, not by the path of reason." They have spoken well. Some do not agree with that, because scripture is included in inference, so how can one enter unimpeded by scripture alone? What is called true conventionality is the appearance obtained from the wisdom that transcends the world, not the explanation of common terms for children in some treatises, which is not accepted here. What is called appearance is merely appearance, and they do not have the power to be established as real objects. Why is that? Because in the ultimate sense, the nature of reality has been spoken of, and it has been shown before that conventionality is not established as a real object. If an object is a nature that is reasonable and able to function, then those conventional things cannot withstand the scrutiny of reason, so how could it be so? Therefore, the Buddha's realm, Samantabhadra, has completely abandoned all defilements of delusion, and from that, the adornments of body and speech, and whatever appearances are composed of sentient and non-sentient beings, are in reality the very nature of reality, appearing to disciples as differentiated according to their respective inclinations. Who are those to be tamed? The Buddhas are the first, and for them, the second Dharmakaya appears mutually. This first ultimate body is not even the object of the omniscient wisdom of the Tathagatas, because it has not become the nature of any object. The second Dharmakaya appears spontaneously in the vast appearances of their wisdom, and no different thoughts arise in it. The second to be tamed are the Bodhisattvas, and for them, it is enjoyment
