Explanation of establishing the six places. Then, the explanation of dividing the teaching that establishes the three times. Thus, having divided the root text, two verses are shown that briefly explain the meaning of the sutra. Then, two verses are spoken, including mentioning how the text was composed with its own name. Then, one verse is shown that completely dedicates the merit. Then, one verse is shown that this mother is profound and not my realm, but the realm of the noble beings. Then, one verse is shown that asks for forbearance in the near teaching. This should be understood as the condensed meaning of explaining 'Tathata'. Thus, after speaking a little about the general way of combining, now a little of the meaning of the limbs is explained. Here, if you ask why the teacher composes the prostration at the very beginning, it is in order to complete the composition of the commentary. Whoever prostrates to a special object generates great merit in his mind, and the thoughts of those who have merit will surely be accomplished. Therefore, in the Arya Lalitavistara Sutra it is said: 'The thoughts of people who have merit will also be accomplished.' Furthermore, in order to show that it is in accordance with the conduct of the holy ones, beings will have faith in their own teachings. The holy ones of the world first prostrate to special objects, and then engage in the work they desire. Since prostration is also visible in this text, this teacher is a holy one. The Prajnaparamita that he prostrates to is also holy, because it is desired by the holy ones, it is a means for those who follow with faith to enter. Having seen these two necessities, at the very beginning, it is said, 'I respectfully prostrate to the Prajnaparamita.' Here, the so-called Prajnaparamita is of two kinds: the essence and that which depends on it. How is it? The Suchness of all dharmas, which cannot be said to be this or not this in all dharmas, is the Prajnaparamita by its own nature. Therefore, whether the wise abide in the world or in nirvana, this faultless Dharma-nature, the emptiness of all dharmas, abides.
