It means to obtain. Therefore, the merits that arise from practicing it, taking virtues as an example, meaning taking virtue as an example, with many merits, meaning with the number of its merits, with countless merits, whoever attains Buddhahood, without obstruction to become a Buddha, the unobstructedness mentioned here is the uninterrupted Samadhi, which is the excellence of meditation. That is the meaning of all-knowing. The so-called "closeness to the perfect Buddha" means to establish by closeness, and it can also be called the position of the Buddha, which is the remaining part. The verses and explanations such as "some" and "this object" are easy to understand. The so-called "in this place", the circumstances of the object of uninterrupted Samadhi, etc., because it is unfathomable, not the realm of measurers, so those who are good at speaking will constantly refute, this is a summary word, that is to say, critical refutations appear continuously, many refuters are debating. If someone asks what it is, it is not being proficient in means, that is, not understanding the means of relying on conventional truth and ultimate truth, for these people, the Holy Maitreya, with the means of being proficient in saving the world, with the means of being proficient in making them understand, uses conventional truth and ultimate truth to show the refutations of conventional truth and ultimate truth. This shows that this Samadhi is profound, showing that it cannot be known by valid means. The meaning of the verses such as "possessing wisdom" etc., and "object" etc., is that the boundaries of conditioned and unconditioned dharmas, that is, the path that depends on cause and condition, and form etc. and space etc., because there is no entity, so it is suitable as an object, that is, in the realm of form etc., to distinguish with reason in a reversed way. This should be understood in everything. If it truly becomes an object, then only conditioned and unconditioned dharmas are the object, if there are none of these, then what is the object? This is the thought of the refuter. Because all dharmas have no self-nature in any way, the nature of the parts etc. of form etc. is non-existent, therefore it can be used as an object.

It is necessary to grasp the essence of the nature, and it is necessary to determine the appearance of the object. If it is true, if there is a nature with parts and so on, then the objects of eye consciousness and so on, such as form, must exist. If they do not exist, how can they exist? One thinks like this. Things and non-things are the grasping and so on. Non-existence is the unattainable. When one attains enlightenment through non-discrimination with all-knowing wisdom, for the wisdom that knows objects such as things and non-things, if all aspects of grasping and so on are completely present, then it is knowing. If it is not, how can it exist? Without an object, it is not reasonable for a subject to arise. It is reasonable to distinguish by suchness, the two truths of conventional truth and ultimate truth. This is a difference or a cause of difference, such as abiding in contradictory dharmas, and the reason of distinguishing by differences in causes applies to all distinctions. According to your view, it is unreasonable to distinguish by differences in causes, because those two arise only from the cause and condition of non-things. If by the nature of suchness, then conventional truth and ultimate truth do not exist abiding in contradictory dharmas. How can they be different? One thinks like this. By not focusing on generosity and so on, it means there is no generosity and so on, because one does not know. It means that only by practicing generosity and so on will there be generosity and so on. If not, how can it exist? By not having something to realize, it means there is no object of knowledge. The one who possesses the distinction of wisdom is the Buddha. Only because he can generate joy in the minds of those he tames, if he is an object of offering, then how can he be the Buddha's object of knowledge, measured by what can be realized? By merely being nominally designated, it means that the aggregates of form and action, or the consciousness of two and non-two, are merely nominally designated. Therefore, how can there be a nature of complete imputation? Because it is devoid of one and many, it does not exist by valid cognition. Therefore, it is merely nominally designated, and is the Dharma Jewel, that is, the teachings and the realization. By preventing the focus on form and so on, it means external objects.
