The path to enter is Nirvana, and its path is the ultimate emptiness. 'Arising from conditions and the other' refers to the emptiness of the three realms, which are conditioned. 'Unborn' and so on refers to the emptiness of the unconditioned. 'Ends' and so on, 'without abandonment,' refers to being free from permanence and annihilation, which is the emptiness beyond extremes. Being free from beginning, end, and middle refers to the emptiness without beginning or end. 'Without abandonment' means that because there is no distraction anywhere, the path of meditating without a place to abide is the emptiness of 'without abandonment.' The nature of the Dharmadhatu is self-nature emptiness. The emptiness of all things is the emptiness of all dharmas. 'Dharma arising' and so on, 'passing away' and so on, refers to form and so on, arising and ceasing and so on, which is characteristic emptiness. Not perceiving past and other dharmas is the emptiness of non-perception. 'Possessing' and 'other' 'self-nature,' refers to the dharmas that possess are the emptiness of the self-nature of non-things. The five aggregates of clinging are the emptiness of things. 'Space empty' and so on, refers to the unconditioned space and so on, which is the emptiness of non-things. Self-nature emptiness refers to the emptiness of one's own essence. 'Other dharmas, non-things' means that the agent of the nature of other is emptiness, therefore it is the emptiness of the nature of other. 'The distinctions of emptiness' means that the twenty kinds of distinctions of emptiness are the aspects of emptiness. The cause of emptiness and the twenty aspects is because each is empty of its own essence. Thus it is said, the essence of the eye and so on, if investigated by others, then those are empty of their own essence. Here and there, with both conventional and ultimate, as appropriate, analyzing and examining in detail is unbearable, therefore it is emptiness, this is the collection of wisdom. 'Earth' and so on refers to the collection of earth, complete purification is the distinctions of the conditioned. Those are also these ten, intention and so on, self-nature...

It should be known that this is the object of focus. These, such as 'nature,' have already been explained. This very meaning is stated by referring to things like the ten characteristics of such a dharma. 'In all aspects' means in all ways. Because it is the action of generating. 'Because' means because it is to generate the Joyful Land. 'Completely' means from all sides, because it is the very cause of completely subduing the Joyful Land, therefore, by these ten distinctions of the cause of complete subduing. And how is it? 'Because of not focusing on inherent existence' means that whatever nature, such as the great elements, is examined by others, that is also truly empty, so it is not seen. By not focusing on the characteristics distinguished by this, what is completely subdued? It is done only by the characteristics of conditioned phenomena, and not by other faults such as inverted and confused thoughts. The ten actions described on the Joyful Land have been completed, meaning that when these dharmas also focus on emptiness, they are the agents, otherwise they will not change. Such eightfold complete subduing becomes the cause of the stainless land, such as discipline, etc., having completed the complete subduing, like the previous distinctions of cause, is a conditioned phenomenon distinguished by not focusing on inherent existence, just as the verses that will appear below should also be explained in this way. Because it makes afflictions thin, it is subdued. That itself is the true total retention, those are the supports. In order to easily understand 'I' and 'sentient beings' etc., and 'the three doors of liberation' etc., they should be combined. The opposite of 'I' is knowing the three doors of liberation. Similarly, the three circles of sentient beings are completely pure. For the person, it is compassion. For annihilation, it is without arrogance. For permanence, it is the equality of dharmas. For signs, it is knowing one way. For causes and aggregates, it is knowing non-arising. For realms, it is knowing leakage. For sense bases, it is that dharmas are shown in one way. For those who abide in the three realms, all discriminations are pacified.
