One should observe and understand forms and so on. What will that become? If one sees correctly, one is liberated. This means that meditating on one's own nature, one abandons afflictions together with their imprints, and thus becomes a Buddha. The meaning of this verse is that, because of what is said, because one cannot be liberated from clinging to the object just mentioned and cannot attain enlightenment, therefore one slanders, that is, the nature of superimposition, such as the truly existent, which harms selflessness. If one eliminates the doubt of inherent existence, one eliminates it by seeing suchness with the measure of the nature of one and many, and if one knows this without harming anything with self and so on in conventional and ultimate truth, then because it arises from the twelve links such as ignorance, there are aggregates of form and so on. The aggregates of form and so on are dependently originated, and in conventional truth, they are the true nature, which is empty and without self-nature in name, and should be regarded and meditated upon as illusory. What will this become? As it is said, like a magical elephant defeating another magical elephant, just as fighting with a false elephant is overwhelming, so too, with perversion, that is, with the false path, the perversion born of the afflictions born of the false view of self, by the cause of abandoning, when one sees suchness, that is, when one sees and believes in the selflessness that pervades everywhere, one will be liberated, that is, one will attain true wisdom. According to our view, all dharmas are like illusions, and therefore the illusions of afflictions and so on are prevented by the illusions of the path, so there are no incompatible enemies or friends for the suchness of things. Therefore, you should think that we do not have the fault of the previously stated unreasonable liberation. Not nirvana, yet nirvana, taught by the protector of the world, this knot made by space, only space can untie.

It is so. What is said as such and so on? As such and so on, the six perfections are mutually, what is it that one is included in one? As before, the giving and so on that belong to it, each one, each and every one, one moment, the patience that arises in one moment, what is the patience of knowing the Dharma of suffering, what is held by it, and what is the difference of the mind related to it, is the peak realization. Here is the path of seeing, in order to abandon the afflictions and so on together with the imprints, it is established as a means of seeing, this is the remaining text. Giving and so on is a separate explanation. It is contradictory for many kinds of conceptualizations to arise at once, but it is not so for one conceptualization to arise in many objects. Because it is so many, because it has not been learned, it is possible to be like this. Although it is actually thirty-six kinds, there is one patience in one moment of the object of the collection of giving and so on. The path of seeing by the one who has the nature of one mind is also the cause of perfect enlightenment in one moment, there is no contradiction, so think about it. Now, apart from the arising of the path of seeing, because of the fruit of abandonment, although the path of seeing and the path of cultivation are different, it is reasonable to say that the path of cultivation that is free from the abandonment that has already been said, and what is the meaning and meaning together, what is shown for the time being, that is, when it arises, such and so on are what is said, that is, ignorance and action and consciousness and name and form, and the six sense bases and touch and feeling and craving and grasping and existence and birth and old age and death, the twelve branches of existence are dependent origination, and the order of meditating on selflessness is to meditate on arising in accordance with the order. In the same way, starting from the last one, reversing the order and meditating, it should be known that it is a non-compliant practice. Moreover, those who see and so on, are dispelled by the separate explanations of the lion's leap and so on.

English

O! Just because afflictions cannot conquer, it should be known that this is the samadhi called Lion's Vigorous Striding. The order of ignorance, etc., should be understood from the power of meaning. As it is said in the Dharmapada: Ignorance and afflictions exist first, actions are previous deeds, consciousness is the connecting aggregate, name and form are after that, the six sense bases arise up to there, that is the three combinations up to there, contact is of pleasure and pain, etc., the causal knowledge ability is up to there, feeling is craving up to sexual intercourse, having attachment to enjoying sexual intercourse, grasping is all enjoyments, running around everywhere in order to obtain, that is its fruit, is the future arising karma, that is existence, connection is birth, between feeling is old age and death. As it is said. The order of the path of meditation is as it is said, abandoning the unfavorable side is the extreme cessation of afflictions, etc. The word 'etc.' refers to the extreme non-arising of unborn afflictions, etc. Establishing the support to manifest means that abandoning, etc., without a basis is unreasonable, therefore the wisdom that relies on it is preliminary. Easy to understand means easy to realize. The support by the cause called name is the basis of abandoning, etc. The path of meditation is what is said as cessation, etc., hell, hungry ghosts, animals, humans, and the six desire realms are the desire realm. Belonging to the desire realm is what is obtained by birth. Unequally abiding consciousness is the discriminating consciousness. Limitingly saying, because enlightenment is attained from beings of the desire realm, therefore approaching and separately establishing, the nine samadhis connected with cessation are connected with the above. Therefore, the meaning is this, the four dhyanas connected with cessation, and the four formless absorptions, from the nine, starting from the first dhyana, gradually meditating until reaching cessation, and coming, called the nine samadhis connected with cessation, after reaching, connect after this. Therefore, the meaning is this, the last is cessation.
