Following the attainment of complete enlightenment, there is the manifest enlightenment of the Dharmakaya. This is divided into four aspects, such as the Svabhavikakaya, as explained by the noble Zangpo, so do not misunderstand. The earlier teachers only spoke of the five kayas, but out of respect for the lama, the noble Zangpo did not make it explicit, but mainly the Mahayana relies on two methods. It is not appropriate to ignore the correct pronunciation of the names as if they were contradictory in external form. My effort is not untimely, and it is not appropriate to ignore those of us who clearly delight in making offerings to the Bhagavan when the holy Dharma is declining. As it says in the Samadhiraja Sutra: 'When the supreme Dharma is destroyed by the best of men, whoever meditates with indifference, has not honored the Victorious Ones, nor has he made a drawing of the guides.' That is what is said. It is sufficient to mention it in passing. Similarly, the verses and explanations beginning with 'Thus also karma' are easy to understand. First, 'good and not good beings' refers to beings of the Brahmin and royal castes, as well as beings of the untouchable castes, etc. To be attached to this is to be attached to good and not good themselves. To not abide in this is to be without any object of focus. As its characteristic, 'having performed the activity of completely pacifying beings' means that suffering, inverted thoughts, and the cause of binding in samsara, if any being is without these, then that being will not be born again. Following the meaning of this quote, it means eliminating whatever birth is caused by afflictions, etc. As it says in the Sutra of the Collection of the True Dharma, 'The body of those to be tamed is the realm of activity of the Dharmakaya,' so even though it is the Dharmakaya of the Buddhas, they still prevent rebirth. That is the intention. If that is the case, then what is the difference between the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in terms of aspiration and benefiting beings? It is the presence and absence of conceptual thought, as well as the difference in those to be tamed, but there is nothing else.
