These four are called the aspects of cessation. By understanding the distinctions of generosity and so on, one separately prevents the engagement with and subsequent abiding in miserliness and immoral conduct, and so on; and because all dharmas are the nature of the three doors of liberation, one does not perceive even a particle of dharma by understanding; and by obtaining complete faith, one is certain that omniscient wisdom is the nature of the three, and one abides in the three as they are; and by being single-mindedly devoted, one gives up one's life for the sake of the meaning of the dharmas such as the all-knowing wisdom, these four are called the aspects of the path. Thus, when one has completely obtained these sixteen moments that include forbearance and knowledge, the pure worldling has the aspect of not being attached to the apprehended and the apprehender, and is gathered by the subsequent mind, in order to generate the fruits that are in accordance with oneself, such as reversing the perception of form and so on. Because the bodhisattva abides on the path of seeing, they are the characteristics of non-retrogression. The terms of the yogis are all in accordance with realization, except for the need to tame sentient beings, and are spoken closely in order to make this known. If it were not so, how would the moments of self-awareness of each individual in the continuum of yogis be the characteristics that make others believe? After that, because one abides on the path of meditation, it is the characteristic of non-retrogression. Because special wisdom does not arise unless one distinguishes the special from the general, I will briefly explain the distinction of the path of meditation. It is said: The path of meditation is profound, profound is emptiness and so on, profound is liberation from the extremes of superimposition and denigration. That is to say, for emptiness and so on, there is no form, and emptiness and so on are not different from form. Therefore, in order, for emptiness and so on, liberation from the extremes of superimposition and denigration, that is profound, that is emptiness and so on. Because it has profoundness, the path of meditation is profound. Thus, after showing the distinction, it is the basis of the distinction. The decisive part and the path of seeing, and on the path of meditation, again...

And again, thinking, measuring, and deciding are the paths of mental activity. It is said that the wisdom arising from listening, thinking, and meditating, or the wisdom arising from the application, reality, and subsequent stages of Samadhi, repeatedly thinking about the meaning of definitive vision in the three branches of definitive discernment in sequence, and measuring and deciding are the constant paths of meditation. How many are these? Because it is constant, small, medium, and large, etc., are divided by the differences of smallness, etc., and are considered to be nine types. It is said that the afflictions of Bodhisattvas are called discriminations. Just as very great darkness dispels small light, and smallness dispels great light, so each of the great, medium, and small discriminations is different because of the differences between great, medium, and small. Similarly, the antidotes to these, small, medium, and large, are also different because of the differences between small, medium, and large. Thus, in the ultimate sense, from the perspective of the nature of emptiness, according to the number of distinctions between the antidotes to discrimination, nine types constantly arise from the desire realm, etc., and this is the path of meditation. The mother of the Victorious Ones empowers each of these types, and it is said that countless merits, immeasurable merits, and boundless merits are born. Isn't there a great variety of distinctions? How can there be nine types? Those who show the immeasurable, etc., are not tolerated in the ultimate sense, but in the conventional sense, the compassionate, the causes and conditions, are accepted by the Able One. It is said that the nature of the words that show the immeasurable, etc., the immeasurable, and the boundless, in the ultimate sense, the nature of the path of meditation as described above, is not allowed to be distinguished as the nature of the difference that arises from being closely combined in one meaning and looking at the reversion. In the conventional sense, the nature of the Dharma that has been spoken and shown, as described above, is extremely capable of producing great fruits for immature beings.
