If just one can produce the fruit of eye consciousness, then why can't the objects of aggregates belonging to other aggregates also produce eye consciousness? If you say that it is because the earth and so on are different from the eye and so on, so they cannot produce, then how can the eye and so on also produce since their own natures are different from each other? If you say that it is because they have the nature of producing, then it is not so, because what is other than the nature of producing is established as not producing. Therefore, when others are different from the nature of one that produces, they will not produce, because they are different from the producer, just like other things. Don't think that others don't have the nature to produce, but others don't have the nature of one that produces. Furthermore, it is produced only by its own nature, not by the nature of others, because it is not its nature. Since it is not established as being different from the nature of producing, it is also different just like itself, and it also produces by its own nature, what contradiction is there in this? In this way, being different from one producer does not become its nature, but it is not that it does not possess that fruit, what reason is there to think that only it must produce that fruit? If that is the case, since only that one has produced that fruit, then what else is needed to produce that fruit? If you think, since this one can do it alone, what are we doing here? What will become different from what? There is no case where things act without prior thought, those unconscious things are the nature of things that gather in their own complete cause, when they act, it is not appropriate to find fault with becoming like that. If you think like this, then, will the nature of the fruit produced by one cause also be produced by others?

If that is the case, Since the difference in the nature of the cause is not seen to lead to the difference in the nature of the effect, the difference in the cause does not make the effect dissimilar and without difference; it merely produces the effect, and therefore does not become the agent of difference. However, even though they are embodied beings that are completely separate from each other, the eye and so on will certainly produce the consciousness of the eye with some difference in their own nature, but other fields and so on are not like that. Like this, the difference in nature only changes to the extent that it asks where these differences in the nature of the eye and so on come from. If there is no cause, then there will be fear because there is no arising due to no observation. It is said that those differences in nature come from one's own continuum. And the nature that produces it also comes from a cause other than it, so the continuum of cause has no beginning. Therefore, this kind of causal continuum, even if it is endless according to desire, will not become a fault. In this way, from the collection of causes with dissimilar characteristics, the effect with dissimilar characteristics arises. Therefore, if one thinks that just by that much, one can say that from the difference and non-difference of causes, the difference and non-difference of effects arise, then that is meaningless. Because, in terms of reason, whatever statement is certain for both is either established or refuted. Just as the power of the dharma of cause is not the establisher of everything, even without the difference of being different, it is not the establisher of everything. If it is said to the Samkhya school and others who admit the connection between cause and effect, it will appear beautiful. However, for those Madhyamikas who only distinguish the nature of cause and effect, how can they accept the reason of the nature of the dharma of cause, which is not established because those differences in nature come from their own cause, as if it has already been established for the purpose of establishing their own tenet? If it is thought that if one does not admit the power of the dharma of cause, it will be difficult to avoid contradicting direct perception and so on, that is not the case. Because, through the distinction of "only that," it will not hinder seeing things as they are.
