Since this is the case, the mind of rejoicing does not exist at the moment of dedication, so how does the mind dedicate? That is what is thought. In this way, it is explained that the word "from rejoicing" is irrelevant. Now, in order to explain that the word "the object of merit with rejoicing" is unreasonable, the words "with rejoicing" and so on are spoken. The meaning of this passage is: because the aspect of rejoicing arises, it is said that the mind of rejoicing itself is the object of merit with rejoicing. Because it is so, the object of merit with rejoicing becomes a different action, which mind of rejoicing has disappeared, then what is the mind of dedication? It is considered unreasonable for that mind to dedicate itself to itself, because it is contradictory for oneself to act on oneself. If it is thought that after the mind of rejoicing, a special moment of mind arises, from which the mind that obtains the object of merit with rejoicing is obtained, and that mind is later dedicated by the mind of dedication, if it is thought that this is the meaning of that sentence, then even so, the word "dedication" is unreasonable, it is said. When the two minds do not meet, the mind of mind and so on. The meaning of the sentence should be connected in this way: the consciousness that arises in the first moment is the moment itself, so there is no share of the second moment. Similarly, the consciousness that arises in the second moment also does not arise because the cause is incomplete, so it does not exist at the time of the first moment. In this way, when the object to be dedicated and the dedicator are the minds that arise in the first and second moments, those two minds do not accompany each other, therefore, if they do not arise at the same time, then how can the mind of dedication that arises in the second moment dedicate the mind of the object of merit with rejoicing that arises in the first moment? That is the meaning. Then, the previous consciousness is not not arising, but

If someone asks: Can one dedicate merit during one's lifetime? (Answer:) The nature of the mind cannot be dedicated. Because the nature (of the mind) is without self-nature. The blessing of the Blessed One and the noble Maitreya, Indra replied: From then on, the King of Gods, Indra, spoke and so on. It means that the natures that are accepted in the conventional truth, because they themselves are meaningful, are not momentary, except for being included in the category of special arising actions, there is nothing that can be included in other categories. Therefore, after the special mind of the yogi's rejoicing, the arising of the mind of meritorious deeds possessed by rejoicing will become very special. Moreover, after that, the extremely special mind, perfumed by the habit of the root of virtue, will arise in the form of dedication, relying on the power of the Dharma nature of dependent origination. Because the moment is not suitable for expression, for children, it depends on the continuum, and it depends on the terms to establish the sound. This state of the reality of things, the noble Maitreya Bodhisattva said: The Bodhisattva Mahasattva should dedicate the meritorious deeds possessed by rejoicing to the unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment. In this way, it is declared in terms of action, agent, and behavior, etc. Moreover, for this, just completely abandon the part of things, just grasp the sound, and do not generate the discriminating mind that makes children afraid. Furthermore, after rejoicing in this way, the meritorious deeds possessed by rejoicing should be expressed in words as dedicating to the unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment. Previously, the noble Subhuti himself also, with his own language, for the conventional aspect, should promise the meaning of what was said. With this thought, he spoke of how the noble Subhuti, etc. If one does not hold the meaning of what was said in this way, then because there is no other way, then

Therefore, it should be dedicated in this way. If it is not like this, it is not possible in any way, so the meaning of what was said before should be understood. In order to show this reason, it is said "having rejoicing" and so on. It should be connected with "How will it be well grasped by completely grasping, and how will it be well dedicated by completely dedicating?" In order to show the meaning of the non-inverted characteristic of dedication, it is said, "Then, the venerable Subhuti" and so on. Among them, "begin" means to precede with the discriminating consciousness. "Establish as the basis" means to establish it in front as an object of the object. With the words "should be dedicated", because it is a dedication, it is dedicated with discriminating attention. Therefore, all discriminations are illusory because their self-nature appears to be meaningless, but they are attached to as meaningful. With this thought, it is said, "How can it not become an inverted thought?" and so on. In order to answer, it is said, "Holy Subhuti, if" and so on. Among them, "If that mind is not perceived as mind" means that the mind of dedication should not be manifestly attached to as mind in the ultimate sense. If so, what merit would there be? Therefore, it is said, "Thus the Bodhisattva Mahasattva" and so on. In order to gather the points extremely closely, it is said, "How about that mind" and so on. Thus, if the mind of dedication is manifested and attached to as "This is that mind", how can one not understand or comprehend that mind? If one dedicates in this way, then at that time, because one has entered the cause of not truly contemplating, it is not an inverted thought and so on. Here it says, if one grasps what has no discrimination as having an object, then at that time it will become confused. Because this person, like an illusionist, knows that there is no object of knowledge, and knows its objectlessness, and then completely with discrimination
