With a pure body, one will attain the state of the Tathagata and will be close to being born. Therefore, the great Shravakas, by the very act of cutting off afflictions, have cut off the root cause of what is called rebirth. Therefore, they cannot generate such a jewel of the mind, which is the nature of fruit, because it would be a fault of becoming without cause. Moreover, ordinary people have all the causes mentioned earlier, so they are capable. Thus it is said. This statement is the nature of reason, so how can it be intentional? However, etc., has been said. The word "however" is temporarily used to mean the sound from there. "They" refers to the great Shravakas. "Rejoicing" refers to rejoicing through the mental activity of rejoicing mentioned below. What do you rejoice in? Suppose the words "supreme," etc., have been said. Suppose the great Shravakas generate Bodhicitta in the unexcelled, perfectly complete enlightenment, I rejoice in that, thus connect it. How do you rejoice after abandoning? The words "in their virtuous aspects," etc., have been said. Suppose I first spoke intentionally according to the differences of those to be tamed, even so, the root of virtue of the Shravakas, the cause of Buddhahood arising from Bodhicitta, does not obstruct, that is, does not make that which is not established, does not create obstacles. How does it not do it? The words "superior," etc., have been said. Because from superior virtuous friends, etc., one should focus more and hope only for the extremely superior Dharma such as Bodhicitta. Also, how do the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas who burn the afflictions of existence not contradict each other in those samsaric existences? It should not be said like that, because any being who is not bound by others, first takes pleasure, and completely grasps the inferior position, they are attached to self,

Giving up suffering and happiness, and desiring to obtain (suffering and happiness) are prerequisites. For example, like wanting to completely possess a woman's corpse. Similarly, holding onto the womb is also like this; if it is not blessed by the Lord of Birth, etc., but is preceded by manifest joy, then it is completely holding onto a lower state. With this reasoning of self-nature, it can be proven that afflictions have the power to generate the three realms. The great Shravakas, together with the aggregates and the Bodhi with the name of non-aggregates, after obtaining both, due to the lack of great compassion and wisdom, with a mind fearful of samsara, even though they have not been liberated from suffering, but due to the impetus of past karma, when life is exhausted, like a lamp extinguished, it is called liberation from suffering. Those who have transcended the cycle of the three realms, at the moment of death and transference of consciousness, abide in the uncontaminated realm, and are born in the lotus bud in the completely pure world realms. Then, they are awakened by the rays of the sun of the perfectly complete Buddhas such as Amitabha, in order to dispel the darkness of non-afflictions. They generate the mind of Bodhicitta, and like traveling to hell and other places at the time of liberation, they gradually accumulate the accumulations of Bodhi, and eventually become the teachers of the world, as is clearly indicated in the scriptures. Therefore, due to the cessation of karma and the afflictions of samsara, as a result, the cycle of the three realms will cease. But it is not born in the uncontaminated realm, so how can there be contradiction? Therefore, it should be known that all vehicles are said to tend towards the Great Vehicle in all ways, which is reasonable. Even so, the words spoken in the Sutra of the White Lotus of the Good Dharma and the Chapter of the Truthful One, etc., should be well quoted: "Shariputra, you will become a perfectly complete Buddha in the future." And "There is only one vehicle, there is no second," and so on. In order to completely eliminate the fear of some, the meaning of the One Vehicle shown in the Ten Dharma Sutra and the Cloud of Jewels Sutra, etc., is provisional, thus spoke the Bhagavan.

The departed one himself has clearly shown it. In the Lankavatara Sutra, it is also said, 'Great Wisdom, the Hearer Vehicle is not the path to liberation, however, it is the ultimate of the Great Vehicle.' Thus it is said. Similarly, the venerable Nagarjuna and those who follow his system, speaking in the manner of the One Vehicle, say: 'Having obtained two kinds of enlightenment, those minds that are frightened by samsara, delight in the exhaustion of life, and from nirvana, they obtain the notion of cessation. In that, there is no nirvana, however, in the realm of the three existences, they do not have birth. Those who abide in the uncontaminated realm, because they do not know afflictions and do not abandon them, later, being urged by the Buddha, accumulate the accumulations of enlightenment, and they will also lead the world.' Thus it is said. Thus, in all ways, by showing this pleasing Suchness, in order to increase the joy of those who have developed respect for the venerable Subhuti, the Blessed One spoke words such as 'Well done.' Even though it is an object of experience, he spoke with words that clearly reveal such meanings as if they were manifest, and being amazed, he said 'Well done, well done' twice. Because he only showed the clarity of what he wanted to say, he was extremely delighted, and again said 'Well done,' meaning that whatever is said is only beautiful. The word 'what' is a particle of speech, meaning 'for what reason.' Some texts say 'for what reason,' meaning for what reason do you show in the manner of the One Vehicle, causing the bodhisattvas to show their own tenets, therefore making them happy, that is also well done. The venerable Asanga and those who follow his treatises, those who speak of various vehicles, explain it differently, saying that words such as 'those who have entered into true certainty' are of definitive meaning, while words such as 'however' are of provisional meaning. Therefore, the universal meaning is in terms of those who possess the Buddha-nature. Similarly, some are for guidance, and the perfect Buddhas show the One Vehicle to those who are uncertain.
