It is said that "because it is so" and so on. The meaning of the ninth conceptualization is that it is said "because all dharmas are without characteristics." In order to abandon the conceptualizations of the path of meditation, because all dharmas are emptiness, therefore they are without characteristics. As such, benefiting sentient beings who like brevity, therefore the Dharma is brief; cherishing sentient beings who like vastness, therefore the Dharma is vast; because one does not strive for the meaning as it is said, therefore one is not taken care of by the protectors including the Buddhas; merely because of arising and ceasing, therefore there are no qualities of the path of application; because of being separated from the cause of true birth, therefore there are no qualities of the path of seeing; merely because there is no future, therefore there are no qualities of the path of meditation; merely because of subtlety and so on, therefore it is the path of application that leads to nirvana; merely because of realizing emptiness, therefore it is the path of seeing; merely because of meditating on the nature of no self-nature, therefore for the path of meditation, I should enter like an illusion. Like this, relying on the aspect of entering, the first nine aspects of the apprehended conceptualization, bodhisattvas should abandon in the stage of application of the path of meditation, because it shows the opposing aspects of this and that, therefore it is said from the opposite perspective, so it is said. It is also said: Brief, vast, and Buddha, not taken care of by teachings, three times without qualities, the excellent path has three aspects, this one apprehended conceptualization, is the object of the aspect of application. So it is said. Thus, after showing the first, the second apprehended conceptualization should be explained. The meaning of the first conceptualization is that it is said "because all dharmas are definitely distinguished." In order to dispel the conceptualization of not generating bodhicitta, because all dharmas are realized in the manner of the dharmadhatu. The meaning of the second conceptualization is that it is said "because all dharmas are naturally pure." In order to dispel the conceptualization of not attending to the essence of bodhicitta, because all dharmas are

Because faith has fully known purity. The meaning of the third conceptualization is that all dharmas are said to be without words. In order to eliminate the conceptualization of the Hearer Vehicle, because all dharmas have transcended the path of words. The meaning of the fourth conceptualization is that all dharmas are said to be without cessation, so abandonment is equal. In order to eliminate the conceptualization of the Solitary Buddha Vehicle, because all dharmas are unborn, so abandonment is the same, so there is no cessation. The meaning of the fifth conceptualization is that all dharmas are said to attain Nirvana and are equal to Suchness. In order to eliminate the conceptualization of not attending to Perfect Enlightenment, because all dharmas are equal to Suchness, the nature knows Nirvana. The meaning of the sixth conceptualization is that all dharmas are said to not come, not go, not know, not be born, and extremely not be born. In order to eliminate the conceptualization of meditation, because there is no past and future time, so in order they do not come and do not go. Therefore, existing dharmas cannot be known, and what arises now is not born, and is the same as the Dharmadhatu, and is extremely unborn. The meaning of the seventh conceptualization is because it does not depend on self and other. In order to eliminate the conceptualization of no meditation, because it does not closely observe self and other. The meaning of the eighth conceptualization is that all dharmas are said to be noble, Arhat, etc. In order to eliminate the conceptualization of no meditation and non-non-meditation, because there is no fault such as birth, all dharmas are noble. Because it is worthy of cultivation, it is an Arhat. Because it is like an illusion, the nature is pure. The meaning of the ninth conceptualization is that all dharmas are said to have abandoned the burden and do not carry the burden. In order to eliminate the conceptualization of non-reality, because there is no burden of afflictions and the two obscurations of knowledge, it is the abandonment of the burden. This

Because of lacking virtuous friends and the like in speech, the mind of enlightenment does not arise; because there is no particularly excellent merit aimed at the Buddha, the essence of enlightenment is not contemplated; because one is of the Hearer lineage, that vehicle is not contemplated; because one is of the Solitary Realizer lineage, one manifestly inclines towards that vehicle; because of being separated from accomplishing the Perfection of Wisdom, perfect and complete enlightenment is not contemplated; meditating only with an object; without an object, there is no meditation; neither with nor without an object, so there is neither meditation nor non-meditation; because of perverse clinging, clinging to what is not as it is as real things and so on, becoming unsuitable, one should turn away by oneself. Thus, relying on the side of reversal, the second apprehension, the nine aspects of conceptualization, are to be abandoned by Bodhisattvas in the stage of entering the mind and mental events of the path of meditation, because the stage of its antidote is shown, it is said to be taught through the method of reversal. It is also said: The second, mind and mental events, are considered to have an object of entry; not generating the mind and the essence of enlightenment, not contemplating; contemplating the inferior vehicle, and not contemplating perfect enlightenment; meditation and non-meditation, and reversal from these; conceptualization that is not as it is, should be known on the path of meditation. Thus it is said. Having shown the two apprehensions in this way, the first nine aspects of the grasping conceptualization should be stated. Therefore, the meaning of the first conceptualization is that all phenomena are without object and without direction, and so on, is taught. In order to abandon the conceptualization that is imputed as sentient beings, because the nature of all phenomena is the essence of the Dharma Realm, it is indeed separated from the object of general and specific.
