The four mindfulnesses, the four right abandonments, the four legs of magical power, the five faculties, the five powers, the seven branches of enlightenment, and the eightfold noble path are empty of inherent existence, thus the Dharma is taught. The four noble truths, the four dhyanas, the four immeasurables, the four formless absorptions, the eight liberations, the nine successive abidings, the door to liberation, emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, the five superknowledges, all samadhis, and all dharani doors are empty of inherent existence, thus the Dharma is taught. The ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, great love, great compassion, great joy, and great equanimity are empty of inherent existence, thus the Dharma is taught. The eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha are empty of inherent existence, thus the Dharma is taught. The thirty-two marks of a great being and the eighty minor marks are empty of inherent existence, thus the Dharma is taught. The fruit of stream-enterer, the fruit of once-returner, the fruit of non-returner, arhatship, and solitary enlightenment are empty of inherent existence, thus the Dharma is taught. Omniscience and the abandonment of all afflictions that connect with habitual tendencies are empty of inherent existence, thus the Dharma is taught. Subhuti, if the emptiness of the internal were not empty of inherent existence, then Bodhisattva Mahasattvas would not teach that all phenomena are empty of inherent existence. If external emptiness, internal emptiness, both internal and external emptiness, emptiness of emptiness, great emptiness, ultimate emptiness, conditioned emptiness, unconditioned emptiness, emptiness beyond extremes, emptiness without beginning or end, emptiness of abandonment, emptiness of inherent existence, emptiness of all phenomena, emptiness of self-character, and the unobtainable

The emptiness of disintegration, the emptiness of non-things, the emptiness of self-nature, the emptiness of the self-nature of non-things, if it is not emptiness by nature, then even the Bodhisattva Mahasattva would not say that all dharmas are empty by nature, and would not preach the Dharma. Therefore, if the emptiness of self-nature is not destroyed, then the emptiness of self-nature will not be destroyed, will not be constant, and will not go to extinction. Why? Because it does not abide in a place, it does not abide in a direction, it does not come from anywhere, nor does it go anywhere, this is the abode of Dharma. There, no increase of any dharma is visible, no decrease is visible, decrease, arising, appearing, ceasing, affliction, purification are not visible. This is the self-nature of all dharmas, abiding in this, the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas correctly enter into the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, for any dharma, there is no seeing of entering or not entering. All dharmas have no entering and no abiding, this is the Dharma abode of all dharmas. Therefore, when the Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, seeing that all dharmas are empty by nature, he will not turn back from the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. Why? Because he is like this, he does not truly see any obscuring dharma, but truly sees all dharmas without obscuration. He is like this, in the emptiness of self-nature, he does not cling to self, nor does he cling to what is designated as self. He does not cling to sentient beings, life, goers, nourishers, persons, individuals, powerful ones, lords of power, doers, feelers, causers of feeling, beggars, complete beggars, knowers, seers. Nor does he cling to what is designated as seers. He does not cling to form, nor does he cling to what is designated as form. Feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness are also not clung to, nor are they clung to what is designated as consciousness. Even the thirty-two major marks of a great man
